"Gin? You ready?" Harry asked, pocketing the tickets to their honeymoon suite.
"Yes," Ginny called from upstairs. She came down with two suitcases floating behind her. "Can you finally tell me where it is we're going?" She asked.
"Athens!" Harry said, clapping his hands together.
"Greece?!" Ginny squealed. She threw her arms around him. "I'm so excited!"
"Me too! I can't wait to see it," Harry agreed, kissing her and grabbing the bags. "Now, are you ready to Disapparate? Hermione told me that Apparating long distances basically makes you pass out from exhaustion."
"We should just get this over with, then," Ginny sighed, taking his arm in her right hand and the bag in the left.
Harry turned, and they popped up behind a grand, white hotel. Hermione, as usual, was right. They both felt heavy and droopy, even though it was only morning. Harry could have easily crashed on one of the comfortable-looking concrete benches.
After handing the tickets for their reservations over to the Muggle owner, the two almost nodded off in the elevator on their way to the sixth floor. As soon as Harry opened the door, they tossed their suitcases to one side and passed out on the downy-comforter, snoring loudly.
It was late afternoon before Harry awoke, and Ginny was already in the bathroom, taking a shower. He rubbed his eyes and studied the view from the window. There were beautiful gardens and buildings, all of them grand and white with columns lining the front.
Later, he and Ginny strolled around the gorgeous city, taking everything in. There were tourists all around. Harry bought them some gyros and they sat on a bench to eat next to another couple. The woman had long blond hair and stormy gray eyes, and the man had hair a lot like Harry's, messy and black, and green eyes as well. They didn't look old; in fact, they looked young, Harry and Ginny's age at the most. But the odd thing was, they each had a streak of gray running through their hair, and they wore matching orange t-shirts with the initials CHB printed on them.
"-and the colomns were really practical and decorative. Aren't they pretty, Percy?" the girl was saying. She had an American accent.
"Yeah, that pool is really pretty," Percy said absently, (also with an American accent) staring in the direction of Harry and Ginny's hotel, which sported a luxurious swimming pool. The girl rolled her eyes, muttered something about seaweed, and kept talking about architecture.
"Hey, Harry, want to go see the Parthenon?" Ginny asked when they finished eating. The blonde girl perked up.
"Ooo, the Parthenon! I can't believe we almost forgot," she said, pulling Percy to his feet. He yawned and stretched, in no hurry to leave.
"Isn't there a statue of Athena in the Parthenon?" He asked his girlfriend.
"Let's go, Ginny," Harry stood. "And who's Athena?" Percy and his girlfriend exchanged signifigant looks.
"Athena is the greek goddess of wisdom and battle strategy," the girl explained."You can come with us if you want; we're experts in Greek mythology."
"I have a couple of friends that are experts in Roman mythology, too," Percy volunteered. Then, he knit his brows. "Annabeth, have you seen Hazel or Frank lately?"
"Um," Annabeth thought. "Well, we all left the ship and went to look around. I'm sure they're fine." They cast each other looks.
"Gin?" Harry was beginning to get confused as to whether the couple would go with them or leave. She glanced at him in a way that said she didn't know, either.
"Let's go," Ginny said to no one in particular. She wove her fingers with Harry's and they followed the authoritative Annabeth through the Athenian streets.
"It's nice to be back," Percy said, gazing around.
"You've been here before?" Harry asked.
"Uh, yes. On...business,"Percy answered evasively. "We didn't get much time to look around."
Annabeth laughed bitterly. Harry got the feeling the business trip hadn't been exactly relaxing, and they were enjoying some sort of inside joke.
"Not a good business trip?" He asked. Percy and Annabeth exchanged more signifigant looks.
"No," Annabeth said. She left it at that. These Muggles were certainly strange. But, when they reached the Parthenon, Harry learned more about Greek mythology than he ever wanted to. Ginny seemed to find it interesting at first, but her gaze became unfocused somewhere around the war of the gods and the Titans. Harry felt like he was sitting in History of Magic again, only in a much older classroom, with a much younger teacher. Even Percy had trouble listening to his girlfriend ramble on about giants and the Underworld. Ginny thanked Annabeth after a while, and asked where they were staying.
"Oh, um, well...um..." for the first time in a while, Annabeth seemed at a loss for words. Suddenly, another girl in an orange t-shirt ran up to them, her brown hair braided. She looked at Harry and Ginny and gave Annabeth a questioning look.
"Uh, yeah. Well, we'd better get going," Percy said awkwardly. "It was really nice meeting you," he pointed at Harry. "Nice hair, my man."
"Yours, too, mate," Harry pointed back at him. They all walked away to join another league of kids in orange and purple t-shirts.
"Wow. They were weird Muggles, weren't they?" Ginny said, looking after them.
"Yep. Let's go and see the beautiful pools,"Harry said in his best American accent. It wasn't very good.
"Oh, these pillars are stunning. Let's get a closer look at the concrete they're made of," Ginny said in her American accent, which made Harry jealous. He laughed.
"We shouldn't make fun of them, though," Ginny said, though she was still smiling."They were pretty nice to us."
"Yeah," Harry said. "You're right. Really, though, do you want to go to the pool?"
"Oh, yes," she said. "It's very warm in Greece, isn't it?"
"Only because when you got here you made it ten times hotter," Harry said, winking at her.
"Oh, shut up," she laughed.
"C'mon," Harry said, taking her hands and pulling her to him. "Let's go." He kissed her.
"To the pool or the room?" Ginny asked, weaving her fingers tighter with his.
"Exactly," Harry said. Hand in hand, they left the piazza.
*I'M SORRY! I haven't updated for months and you probably thought the story was over....wow, I feel bad. But! I'm back, and I'm also writing a Fantastic Beasts fanfiction. (I already wrote one but I'm rewriting it because it didn't live up to my standards of accuracy.) Hopefully, you'll get an update on each once a week. I don't know for sure yet...
