Kiss of death

Burning .

In my soul I've tried to extinguish the destruction, the flame you've ignited. It destroys, annihilates. Chakra's beads fail, just as the begging then did. Nothing could make you stay, prayers on high, unanswered; dreams shattered; deadly injections of love that caused life's expectations to crumble.

Pain fills the cup. I drink of its richness. Daring to remember what I need to forget. Its sweet wine slips down my throat like antifreeze. Poison to my soul.

Love slithered around me, until it strangled out all I had left to give, crushing me in its jaws. Nothing could save me, and I allowed the deadly kiss to devour me.
