HI GUYS I HAVE A NEW FANFIC FOR YOU!
I've honestly put a lot of thought and effort into this so I hope you like this first chapter and don't forget to let me know what you thought about it in the comments! Feedback would really be appreciated!
By the way I'm making polyvore sets to go along with the story so you can picture the outfits the characters wear a lot more clearly.
To the right is a picture of the main character, Kailee. And the external link is the outfit she wore in this chapter!
Hope you enjoy!

Sophomore year, the start of the awkward phase in high school. You’re not part of the new crowd, who has trouble opening their lockers for a week straight, or the cool crowd of juniors and seniors whom are getting ready to leave this place behind. You’re in between, in between finding out who you are and in between realizing what you should be doing vs. what people want you to do. Toronto wasn’t exactly where I had pictured myself living, ever really. On that sunny afternoon when my parents told us we were leaving North California, my heart was shattering. Nonetheless, I tried looking at best side of the situation and looked forward to a fresh start. Starting at a new school was the most frightening thing I didn’t look forward to, and stepping out of my brother, Kyle’s, car that dreaded Tuesday morning was a whole new experience that I hadn’t seen coming.
Glimpses of summer scents filled a light breeze that was shortly cut once the door of the building closed behind me. An army of teenagers flooded the halls with brightly colored shirts. Squeals of girls were heard in the background, probably friends reuniting after months of being away for the summer. I was starting to think my maroon number might have been a too bold of a choice if I wanted to keep it on the low. My long, brown locks were waved over my shoulders and almost halfway through my torso. Eventually we found our way to the counselor’s office, who was really nice and gave us a welcome and walked with us through the school to try and make sure we wouldn’t get lost, ha, cause that wasn’t going to happen.
Kyle was a senior so we left him in whatever classroom he had class in, continuing while she walked me to Honors English. I really liked to write, it was one of the things I found most pleasure doing. It just brought such a feeling of relaxation and pleasure to me, there was nothing that compared, well there was one other thing, but that was only mine to know, or so I thought. Mrs. Donelly knocked on the door and extended her arm signaling me to walk inside. I stepped into the room and every pair of eyes turned to face my way.
“Mr. Chapman, class this is Kailee O’Connor, she just transferred from California” said Mrs. Donelly
“Welcome to Eastshore, you can take a seat next to the window if you’d like”
I took my respective seat as the teacher had indicated, trying to avoid making eye contact with anyone. The hour and a half class went by faster than I expected it to, and by the end of it I had surprisingly made a friend. Erin, a sophomore with long brunette-red hair, had approached me in the middle of class after Mr. Chapman asked for a volunteer to catch me up on what the class had done last year, since it was a continuation class.
By the end of the period we had noticed that we had most classes together, thankfully I wouldn’t get lost. However that didn’t mean that I wouldn’t be trampled in the hallways, and that was exactly what happened shortly after we left the classroom.
One second I was stepping onto the sea of adolescents overcoming the hallway and next I was floored… literally. Someone probably accidentally pushed me and my cheek slammed onto the hard, freezing cold marvel floor. I could see my books scattered all over the place, thankfully after the crowd had vanished barely anyone remained the in hallway. Erin helped me pick them up and we quickly hurried to our next block, which I believed was gym.
