(A/N: hey guys. I'm sorry I haven't updated in centuries and I'm so so so so sorry! I hate it when the books I read takes millions of years to update and I totally do not want to make you feel like that. Lately I've been feeling like no one reads my books. Come on guys comment! Vote it up! I know some of my friends read my book but they don't bother to make an account -_- trust me, one comment can brighten up my whole day and give me encouragement to write. Gives me the feel that people actually read my book. Anyways hope you like the chapter :)
Kayla's POV:
Can you believe Robin? She just stormed off tonight wearing a slutty dress when she clearly has a boyfriend. Sigh, it just bothers me. I mean, Derek looks like a great guy and he's dating that. Do you know when the girlfriend treats the boyfriends poorly, yet they still stay together? Ya it's annoying. It's outrageous actually. But you can't fight love, can you? Maybe that's why they stay together. Because they love each other. Derek stares out the fairly large window to see his beloved Robin going who knows where. I walk up next to him. He's staring intensely outside with his strong arms crossed. "Hey, everything will be ok." I assure him as I pat his back. "But she always does that," he says as he turns around and sits down on the couch. "I know...she's my cousin. She used to do that all the time when I used to play with her toys. She use to storm off." I say and join him.
"Why is she like this...I just want to love her.." He mumbles. "I don't know...people are made differently." I say staring out the window. Looks likes it's windy out side since the leafs are swaying back and forth.
There was this long pause, a long silence. You could literally feel awkward in the air. "Was her childhood...hard?" He asks breaking the silence. I think about it. Her childhood was perfect. The opposite of mine. My childhood was hell, where her childhood was heaven. "Not at all.." I say. "It showed."
"What showed?" He asked. "How perfect her childhood was." I say staring out the window. "She got everything she wanted, toys, clothes, friends, a family..." My voice cracked at the last word.
Tears started welling up in my eyes, remembering how my life used to be.
Flashbacks repeat in my head. My horrid family. It was so bad. The abuse. The scars they are still under my skin, waiting for a day to come back out again. The bullying, oh the bullying. I smile a bit. Why am I smiling? It's because the bully who made my life hell...makes me weak to the knee when he's near me. When he touches me, goosebumps start to race. But to hell with him.
Robin, Robin, Robin. Only of you were in my shoes. You would know what pain is, and what it can make you do.
"Her life was perfect..." I said nearly a whisper. A tear escapes my eye. "Oh god are you ok, Kayla?" Derek says with concern as he scoots closer. I laugh a bit while I stand up and wipe away that dreadful tear, which has stories to tell. Honestly, every tear you shed, has a story.
"Ya I'm fine." I say plastering a smile on my face. His face softens into a smile. "I just remembered when my...uh...g-gold fish died." I blabbered. Yea that's what I meant to say. He chuckled which immediately fried my cheeks up turning them bright red. "You do love her don't you?" I asked crossing my arms. He sighs and slaps both of his thighs before getting up. "I'm supposed to say yes, right?" He jokes which earned my laugh. "But honestly I do," he said.
"I can tell you care about her." I say smiling at him. He nods as he scratches his neck.
"Confess it- you know you wanna see me undress it
No pressure-you good right now but you could do better"
My my phone rang. "Nice ring tone. Girlicious? Really?" Derek teases.
