One minute the teacher was talking about the French Revolution. The next minute, I was out like a rock. Now don't get me wrong, I wasn't a bad student. Far from it actually. But I had just traveled 7 and ½ hours from New York to the UK and I was seriously jet lagged. For some reason, as soon as I got here, they made me go to class instead of going to my dorm. They said “important things” were going on in the house and I was not to interupt. But thankfully, it was the last class of my day.
The trip to get here was insane. First a teary goodbye from my brother along with a day of random tasks and traveling. The previous night I barely got any sleep because of my excitement. And I know I'm barely going to be able to sleep layer because I could never sleep well in new places. When the plane landed it was raining and gloomy. But somehow when I got to school, it was sunny. It was nice and cool now, the temperature at a moderate 20°C. It was beautiful weather for me to take pictures in. It was only September but I still wanted to take as many pictures as I can before I left here. I've been taking photographs since I was 12 and now I'm 17, so my work has been getting substantially better.
I was woken up about 30 minutes later by the sound of the bell, anouncing the end of the class. I gathered my sweater and bag, along with putting my glasses back on. I rushed out the classroom, eager to get to my dorm. I saw him coming at me at the last second. Hair as white as snow, eyes ad green as the sea speckled with sand. But again, I saw him at the last second before we collided at full force right into each other. My head hit the ground followed by complete darkness.~
I opened my eyes and the guy was right on top of me. The first thing I saw were his eyes. They were tinged with fear this time and something else I couldn't read.
I caught my breath before I spoke. “H-hi.” I forced out.
“Hey”, he said smiling. He focused back to the world and got up, brushed himself off and got up. He offered me his hand. I hesistated. “I won't bite” he reassured me. I took his hand and he lifted me up. “Sorry about that” he apologized. He had a really nice velvety voice and an American accent. “ The name is Jordan. Jordan Nascimento.”~~~~
Sorry thus Chapter was so small. The next will be longer I swear. ~Lux
