The rules for Reputation

Confound my feeble brain

Threats of harm

But never charm

The effort seems to raise alarm

If I myself compose for you

Would be met with disdain.

Mesmerized by bright green eyes

By no fault of your own,

But I am damned as you will never

Trust me on my own.

Hair as golden as your laughter

Transfix me in all light,

I want to reveal

How I feel

But you would never see appeal

Try with every conversation

Hate me though you might.

I can never show,

Just how much I care

I can never bestow

Because you haven't got a clue

So I can only stare

Unable to avert my eyes from you.
