True Love

Right from the first time, you open your eyes

Images of love are rammed down your throat

The greatest challenge, the ultimate prize

Your desires, you utterly devote.

That tingling moment of love at first sight

The first meeting with your one and only

Loves first kiss on a twinkling, moonlit night

From this moment, you'll never be lonely.

Shooting stars across a shimmering moon

Glitter dust on the currents of the wind.

Scattered rose petals all around are strewn

Hoisted by the emotional whirlwind.

Falling blossom petals as April snow

Enraptured in your own infinity.

Your heart, life and the whole world to bestow

Last forever and all eternity.

Unicorns dashing through the springtime trees

Peacefully drinking from diamond water

Joyfully prancing and fully at ease,

Before the King hunts their horns for slaughter.

Your façade bubble of perfect romance

Marriage and happily ever after.

Lifelong performance in a perfect dance

Never an argument, only laughter.

Your life is all the stuff of Fairytale's

Where the Dragons roam and the Faeries fly.

Your shining Knight in bedazzling chainmail's

With a hundred rainbows over the sky.

Everything is compared to this enjoying

Making reality

Unnecessarily

Just that tiny bit more disappointing

Now 'love' is applied for the slightest crush

And completely misunderstood.

Overreacting to a tiny blush

Even though you're nowhere near adulthood.

We're all trapped where hardship always happens.

The right choices are battered and blurred.

True love died with the belief in Dragons,

And everything Magickial in the world.
