Jade's POV
I HATE HIM! And now my class is with him, where we sit RIGHT BY EACH OTHER! I am going to kill someone. I sat down in my seat right next to him in Science. He was being a teacher's pet and answering all the questions, as usual. I just sat with my head on my desk, hoping to not be seen.
"And Jade, what will be the answer to number four?" The teacher asked. I froze. I really wasn't paying attention. I was counting down the minutes until we got to leave.
"Umm..." I said, unsure of the answer. Just then I felt a nudge on my shoulder. I looked over hastily, wondering what he wanted. To my surprise, he had written down the answer, and then gave it to me.
"Copper Chloride has the highest density?" I said, unsurely.
"Very good!" The teacher complimented. She hadn't seen the note. I looked over at Ordin. He smirked. I shoved the paper back to him and gave a scowl. When he thought I wasn't looking, he facepalmed himself. It was kinda adori- STUPID! IT WAS REALLY STUPID! Yeah... I spent the rest of class trying to have a decent conversation, in my head, with Zane and Vylad. I really never liked Science.
Willow's POV
After I fixed my wings, I headed off to my classes, just getting to second period on time. I had missed Element Class, but I didn't care. It was just another class leading up to Jaxton. Time flew by, and I soon found myself at the door of the Magical Music classroom. Sweetie, if you stand here for 2.4 more seconds, you are going to get run over. But I had already sensed it, and dodged out of the way at the last second, just to be a show off. I spun fully around, coming face to face with Hailey, the one girl I wish I could spit on. Irene, why do you hate her so much?! SHE'S EVIL GARROTH! Anyways, I was just about to slam the door on her when I felt Fern's aura. She must be near... Of course, there's a door to the gym, but why would she be there? She has Study Hall now. I dropped the door's handle and heard Hailey practically screeching in pain. Creeping around the wall, careful not to be seen by the late kids, where Jaxton would typically be, I hid next to the bleachers, listening. I could hear beating wings, but nobody was there. Looks like you should get to class... Fine, fine. I am. I slipped through the door, my flute case in hand.
Fern's POV
Study Hall, who cares? Not me, when you have a chance to stalk your OTP! I turned into a small butterfly with brownish wings, and flew to the Magical Music class. I decided to take a shortcut through the Gym. Halfway through, Willow came in the Gym. I think she sensed me, because she was looking all around. Eventually she gave up, and went to class. I followed and slipped through the door at the last second. Willow was the last to sit down. Her seat was right next to Jaxton's. I watched them play their magical flutes. They were pretty good at it. Every now and then, they would steal glances at each other, and even sometimes talk a little. I HAVE to put this in my ship log!
Willow's POV
I could still sense Fern's aura, which disturbed me. I was so frightened that she might be watching me, that I almost completely lost focus, and dropped the shimmering flute I play. I call my flute Russet, for the resemblance of dried blood to the many times it tried to fall on Jaxton's head. Oh, I forgot to mention that my locker is right above his. As I was saying, Jaxton noticed I was playing off key, and shifted some of his powers to help. We made a perfect sound to finish off the piece, vibrating through the Magical Music classroom. The instructor, Mrs. Setton, snapped her head our direction, to which I smiled. We held it up on our flutes until Mrs. Setton put her arms down.
"Excellent job, might I say to Jaxton and Willow." Her face held a grin, then she turned her head toward a human-like boy. "Now Damian, I hope you know how and when to play a D flat, because you will need that in 'Our Harmony'."
She was talking about our second concert piece, but I had stopped listening. All I could think about was the look Jaxton was giving me. Pure bliss. He had loved it. My tail whipped back and forth. You did too. Yes, I did Lucinda, but now is not the time. I just think that- She was cut off by Jaxton's whisper. "We should do that more often." I whispered back, "Maybe, I don't know how Mrs. Setton feels. But I think we should." We glanced at our instructor, then back to each other. "Thanks for that. I just... can't focus. Somebody's in here that shouldn't be." I finished. He gently gripped his flute while he sensed for auras. Yes, he has one of the same powers as me. He can't feel other's emotions, so he didn't get the full power. He can't do anything but sense auras. His other power is healing. It's kind of weird how he wears an all black jacket when he can heal. I don't know, maybe I'm being cliche. I don't blame him though. I have to wear a baby blue jacket to hide my shirt, which would be a dead giveaway to my wings. You don't seem so different now, do you, sweetie? Ugh, go away Lucinda. I knew I'd forgotten something the minute I even thought about my wings.
I'd held my wings for four hours straight, too embarrassed to walk into another class late, let alone have Jaxton think I were ill. The willpower I had against them today was strong enough to hold them down. Now, thinking about what would happen if Jaxton found out crushed me. I was holding back tears by the time Mrs. Setton had stopped talking and dismissed us. I used my wind to rush past the rest of the class into the hall, leaving him alone. You'll probably regret th- Now is NOT the time, Lucinda! I screeched to a halt in front of my locker, and watched my powers at their best. I raised my hands to the ceiling, and my locker flung open, shoving my flute and music into it. I slammed the my locker shut. I sped up, using every last bit of strength to make it. It's too far hon. She's right. The bathrooms were way too far out of reach.
So I ran out. I ran farther and farther, unzipping my jacket. My wings burst out underneath it, feathers flying, and tail wagging. I lifted of, my wind powers pulling my hood over my head. I was free. My wings sped through the sky. I flew far, my wings engulfed in my lightning speed. My joyride couldn't last long though. I flipped over, gliding backward into the schoolyard where I was alone. I pulled up, slamming into the grass. My feathers were all across the grass, the result of staying locked down so long. I looked through the clouds where I had just been. My one wish would be to do that all day. Sadly, I turned over again, shut my wings away, zipped up my jacket, and slipped back inside.
Without my freedom.
Hello again! So, to ask you again, who do you ship? Actually all of the ships in this book were based off of my ships from real life. So I ship all the ships. Except for one of the ships that is coming up... Fern, of course, had to be shipped with someone... Well, I hope you had fun reading! BYEEEEE!!! - Liz
