Charlotte was so happy to be around her family in Lexington. Josie had grown into a beautiful woman while she was away. And my little sister Francine had truly blossomed into a lissome beautiful young lady.  Charlotte called Katherine Jenkins and told her that she had moved back to Lexington. Several hours later Katherine (who was now Katherine Young) and her husband Willie arrived at Charlotte and James's home.  Willie was a good-looking man who had wavy black hair with eyes as blue as sapphires. He had a magnetic personality that drew people to him. When Charlotte met him, it felt like she had known him for years. Willie was a librarian at
the library on West Second Street. While he was talking about his job, Charlotte thought about how when she was a child she would get books from the bookmobile every Tuesday at Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church. For several hours guests came in and out of house. Charlotte and Katherine talked for several hours about everything that had been going on with their life. "Charlotte I have some great news. I just found out that I am expecting."

Katherine said with a smile on her face. Charlotte was surprised and secretly a bit jealous, but she didn't let it show. She hugged her friend and went back into the den. Around about nine o'clock the last of the guests left. Charlotte started to clean up the dishes and glasses. Her husband could tell that she was tired. "Sweetie why don't you go to bed, I will finish cleaning up the dishes. You need some sleep." At that very moment, Charlotte lost it. She rarely argued with her husband. Usually if it happened, it was a minor disagreement. "Why can't you do anything right? I work so hard to be the perfect wife and still it isn't enough for you." Charlotte grabbed the dishes and glasses from hand and put them in sink. James looked at his wife and couldn't figure out what he had done wrong. That night Charlotte decided to sleep on the couch. The next day when James woke up Charlotte was gone. He went to look for her, but he didn't find her. He headed on to work and when he got home from work, Charlotte was sitting in a rocking chair eating a Granny Smith apple and reading Valley of the Dolls. James was relieved to see that his wife was okay.

"Charlotte we need to talk about last night. I am confused about what is going on. I was also worried when I couldn't find you."   Charlotte decided to tell her husband about what was bothering her. Her husband listened to her and he was surprised. From that point on they tried to talk about everything. A few months later Katherine found that she was having triplets. As first she was mortified at the  thought of having that many children, but the idea of having a big family grew on her.  Charlie was excited about having a big family because he grew up as an orphan. Katherine decided to hire Charlotte  again, but this time Charlotte was
working as salesgirl. During Charlotte's first week of work her mother had a heart attack.
