Chapter 4: First day of school

Ana's POV

"6:30 get up!" I heard Fiona yell from the doorway. I sat up and greeted Debbie with a good morning and rolled out of bed to go get dressed. Today is my first day of school, i'm not going to lie I'm a little nervous. I brushed my long black hair and pulled it into a ponytail that rested on my shoulder. I walked to Carl's room and knocked.

"Hold up" Carl yelled moments before opening his door.

"Here's your cloths, thanks for letting me use them," I said shyly.

"Oh it's no problem, thanks," he smiled, put them in the dirty clothes basket and swung his backpack over his shoulder and we walked down stairs.

"Good morning everyone," Fiona sang as she set down a plate of scrambled eggs in front of Liam.

"Good morning," we all replied as we sat down at the table for breakfast.

"I have work at three, so someone needs to be home to watch Liam," Fiona argued.

"Can't I have work," Lip answered.

"Me too" Ian added. Fiona looked at Carl.

"Why me?" He argued.

"I don't want to hear it, Debbie watched him last time," Fiona snapped.

"Fine, but can Ana come over?" Carl hoped.

"As long as it's okay with her parents," Fiona answered. Carl smiled and got up to put his plate in the sink, followed by me and Debbie. "You guys better get going before your late, have a good day at school! Love you!. Lunch is on the counter, and Ana, have a good first day of school," Fiona smiled. We all said our goodbyes and thank yous to Fiona and walked out the door. We walked to school because it was down the street. When we got there a lot of girls stared at me. I heard a few girls say hi to Carl but he ignored them.

"You know like 6 people said hi to you and you completely ignored them?" I clarified.

"Yeah I know, girls are annoying," Carl admitted.

"Wow I guess I can't come over after school to help watch Liam cause I'm 'annoying'" I joked.

"No no no no, not you. All the other girls that have a crush on me. They are annoying because they constantly try to talk to me," Carl complained.

Now I realized why all the girls were staring at me; because i'm the new kid walking down the hallway with one of the most liked boys in school.

"Okay well let's go to the office to get your schedule," Carl advised.

"Yeah good idea," I laughed as we walked up to the second floor.

"Hello Mr. Gallagher, what can I do for you?" The short old man peeped his head up from his computer.

"This is Ana she is new here and needs her schedule," Carl requested.

"Ah nice to meet you Ana, I'm Mr. Roy, the principle of Lakeside High, and your last name is?"

"Spear" I answered.

"Okay I am printing your schedule now. Let me go get it," Mr. Roy walked into the back room. A moment later he returned with my schedule printed on bright yellow paper. "Here you are Miss Spear if you need anything else today you know where to find me," Mr. Roy smiled and we walked out.

"So what do you have first?" Carl asked.

"I have biology with Mrs. Jones," Carl's face lit up.

"Me too, let's go," Carl offered, and we went to our first period class together.

Carl's POV

I was happy that I had a class with Ana. I think I'm starting to like her, but I don't know if she feels the same way and I'm scared to talk to her about how I feel. Yeah I know I sound stupid. It's stupid for boys to have actual feelings for a girl and be scared to tell them. I think I am going to grow the confidence and tell her, anyway. Who knows, maybe she feels the same way. I thought
