Ana's POV

Today is Carl's court date and honestly I think i'm more anxious than Carl is. I'm so afraid of losing him to juvie. I put on some leggings, a warm sweater and applied a light amount of makeup.

"You guys ready?" Fiona yelled from the bottom of the stairs.

"Yup, coming," Debbie yelled back. We walked into Carl's room to see if he was ready. "Carl are you ready? Whoa you dressed up!" Debbie squealed. I poked my head over Debbie's shoulder. Carl looked so good, he was wearing khakis, a blue polo button shirt and his big framed glasses.

"Aww," I teased.

"No not aww I hate wearing this shit," Carl said and I laughed.

"Come on it's time to go," Debbie said as Carl slipped on his other shoe and got up from the bed. We walked outside to the truck and the whole family piled in, including. Carl's dad Frank who never seemed to care about him. He was always out somewhere drunk or high just like my mother. The ride there was kind of long but it easily pastes by cause I listened to music. When we got there Carl had to go talk to his lawyer and we had to sit down together. After about 20 minutes Carl came out in handcuffs and was brought to the judge.

(I don't really know how court is yet so i'll try my best)

"Carl gallagher against the family of the man Carl shot and killed. This court is in session," the Judge announced. She asked the Rogue family several questions which I didn't pay much attention to, my mind was on Carl. "Carl Gallagher. Why did you shoot Mr. Rouge," the Judge asked. My hands were sweating with fear for him.

"I shot him because he tried to rape my girlfriend whom is the daughter of her mother's ex, Manny," he stated.

"I understand your reasoning, but you did kill him. There was many other things you could do to stop him. I am sentencing you 6 months in the Juvenile temporary detention center. This court session is in recess," the Judge banged her gavel and got up. No this can't be happening, no Carl for 6 months I can't do this. I thought as salty tears filled my eyes and began to roll down my face, so many it formed a river. The security guard brought Carl to us so we could say our goodbyes. He hugged everyone and me last. He hugged me different, it seemed longer and tighter than everyone else. As he was hugging me he whispered in my ear.

"I'm going to do good in there, i'll be out sooner than 6 months i'm going to try my best babygirl," he pulled away, held my shoulders and looked me in the eyes.

"I love you," he said.

"I love you too," I whipped a tear and Carl kissed my lips for the first time. Butterflies flew around and around in my stomach like a tornado. I'm going to miss the feelings her gives me the most I thought. The security guard pulled him away. He didn't take his eyes off me until he was pulled into the back room the door closing in front of him.

Carl's POV

This is crazy. I just left Ana after I promised her I wouldn't leave her alone just a few days ago.

"Alright we need to search you with the wand for any weapons," the security guard was rude.

"Yeah whatever," I scuffed.

"Do not disrespect me. Don't you want to be out early to see your girlfriend earlier?" He said.

He was right. If I wanted to see Ana any sooner I needed to change my act. I can't be the badass I always want to be. It just gets me in trouble, I need to behave and do go for Ana. I sighed showing him I knew he was right. I thought. He had me change into a uniform and escorted me to the bus. I got on and sat down next to a young boy.

"What did you do?" He asked.

"I killed someone to protect my girlfriend," I stated. "How about you, you look pretty young," I raised an eyebrow.

"I'm 9, and I got caught stealing food multiple times for my 3 sisters and mother," he looked down. "I guess we gotta do what we gotta do, and sometimes there are consequences for doing what we need to do," he said without moving his eyes from out the window. I slightly smiled. Six months to go. I thought as the bus drove off.
