Chapter 1

Hello I'm Amanda an average 15 year old girl who goes to Lockwood high school of course this is a story about me and my strange but interesting life. I live here right in shady Brooke falls. I have brown hair I'm 5'2 and I don't stick out of the crowd some would call me the shadow um just Kidding....

Friday September 9th
-Alarm rings-
Ugh I said in a tiredly voice. I have to wake up, eat and wash for my first day of 10th grade. Another year at Lockwood high school great. AMANDA YOUR ALMOST LATE TO SCHOOL LET'S GO -mom screams, Of course I'm late I was never early last year. Suddenly my phone buzzed it was Cindy my BFF I opened the text and it says "where are you Amanda I've been waiting almost an hour for you " I didn't text back i was basically almost there. Only if I could take a day off school and stay home but mom and dad would never let me do that or would they ?

"Hey Amanda"brad says with a smirk on his face as I walk in the building I literally melted all hell broke loose in my head when he said hey and he knew my name OMG! . Yes I have such a huge crush on a handsome 11th grader but I always tell myself "snap out of it Amanda he'll be graduating next year I can't fall in love with him so soon". His perfect jaw, nicely combed hair and muscular body is just breath taking but he has a girl friend already of course. -Bell rings- now I'm late to class just day dreaming about chad and how our life would be perfect together. Walking to class with total amazement and I hear AMANDA SULLIVAN YOUR LATE! yells Mr.Cane " I'm so sorry I had to go to the "bathroom"I tried not to laugh as I was lying to him but hey this day couldn't get any worse.

My day just got worse I had gotten a D on my chemistry test my parents are going to kill me if they find out. As I walk down the hall ashamed and terrified I see chad and his girlfriend Lindsey arguing of course that was none of my business but I eavesdropped anyway. I hear Lindsey voice shouting just to get attention "UGH YOU NEVER LISTEN TO ME I CAN'T BE WITH YOU ANYMORE ITS OVER " but chad didn't say anything he just walked off with no hesitation. The biggest DQ of them all aka drama queen throws a fit in the hall and got called into the principals office. I really couldn't do anything about just laugh historically. All this "drama" a week before my sixteenth birthday ugh great.

Finally the day is over I can finally go home. I always meet up with Cindy after school is over and we walk home but this time she wasn't there! Now I have to walk all by myself I thought today was just a bummer. Since I'm by myself I take the long way home I usually take the short way since it's less scarier then the longer way , as I walk I thought to myself " this is way scarier then getting a D on my test". I wanted to run so bad but that will just make me feel like someone is chasing me so I walked medium paste. I heard a sound in the bushes which made me even more terrified then I was all I have to do is keep walking, keep walking I repeated over and over in my head and then BAM I was out cold all I could remember is a shadowy figure attacking me with glowing eyes of red. I wake up in a hospital everything was blurry I couldn't see , all I could hear was my mom and dad panicking and yelling at the doctors . I couldn't move at all I felt numbness as if I was never to walk again I suddenly closed my eyes and everything went black.
