The silence of Mr Jones' history class was disturbed by three short sharp knocks. Mr Jones looked up from his black board to see a slender pale skinned girl dressed in tight black jeans and a charcoal hoddie. Mr Jones straitened up and smiled.

"You must be miss Olivia Smith". She nodded as he indicated to the empty seat next to me. She confidently walked up the aisle and took her seat.

As she took her books out, Mr Jones continued with the class on medieval mythology. Other then the casual glance at the new girl class was as boring as usual. Sir started to tell a dragon myth.

"Dragons once ruled the earth until a man striped two dragons of their power, turning them into mortal humans. He trained an elite team to kill the dragons. Their task was successful however the two original mortal dragons learned to live in harmony with the humans so the people, now known as Dragon Hunters, let them live. A couple of years later dragons started roaming again in secret, plotting their revenge".

At the end of the story Mr Jones writes in bold on the board "how did the dragons return?". A couple of kids gave their ideas, however sir pointed out the flaws in all of them except the new girls. She stood and started to explain her idea.

"The two mortal dragons' offsprings puredraco had the chose between being a dragon or human between their 16th and midnight of their 18th birthday. Despite their parents warning, most chose the dragon form as the found it more powerful. Corrupted by power the dragons turned against the human race. The Dragon Hunters killed the dragons and spread the puredracos away from each other to prevent the rise of the dragons.

The mortal mother and father dragon were allowed to remain together as long as they reported every puredraco. From then on the first born of one of the dragon hunters was trained to kill."

Sir looked shocked. Olivia said thank you and sat down. "Interesting story. Could we please discus the story more after class" asked Mr Jones. I was about to question but I held my toung. The bell rang and we started to pack up and everyone else left.

As I was take i was taking some extra notes, sir and the new girl started a quiet, almost secret conversation. I couldn't make out anything except be carful and the name Nevaeh. She walked out the door and called out "Hunter". A small black dog trotted across the door and followed her to lunch.
