Running to happily never after

Running. It's all I've ever done.

I ran away for the first time when I was six, that's when my parents divorced.

I ran again when my foster family abused me at the age of eight.

I ran when my foster mum died at twelve.

I ran when my adoptive parents had a kid of their own and didn't want me at fourteen.

I ran when my boyfriend cheated on me at sixteen.

I ran on my arranged wedding day when I was eighteen.

And now I'm running again. I'm running because I'm different. I'm a shifter.

I can change into any form at will, sometime when my emotions get out of control I shift and when it's a full moon I shift with no control over my animal form.

I don't know where to go or who to turn to. I've never really been successful with love. It's always failed me always hurt me, so I have no one.

It'd be helpful If I wasn't the only one of my kind. But life's never been fair with me.
