It was an normal day, I had a lot to do. I sat in my office editing videos while Alfie was making breakfast. "Do you want anything Zoe?" Shouted Alfie.
"I am fine thank you" I replied.
I was too busy. But I wanted to be in his company to see if he was still acting weird. I carried on despite this being in the back of my mind.
My office was my favourite place to be when it's raining outside, I always feel so cosy. Nala was in the other room asleep, I didn't want to wake her. Yet I wanted the extra warmth of her on my lap.A few hours had passed and I had finally finished my work and it was time to take Nala for a walk. "Are you coming Alf?" I asked.
"No I can't sorry Zoe, I've got to edit my Vlog for tonight," he replied.
"That's okay, but can you order dinner ready for when I get back pleaseeee, what I usually have from Wagamama's?" I said.
"Sure Zoe" Alfie said.
"See you later!" I said as I opened the door.
"Bye Zo!" He shouted softly from the other room. The air was fresh but cold. It felt good being outside after being cooped in all day but I wished I'd put a warmer coat on. I carried on slowly walking round the park, watching the November sun go down behind the clouds.
I finally got home to find a car in our driveway, I didn't remember Alfie saying if anyone was coming round. I tried to open our front door. It was locked. Luckily, I had taken my keys. I opened the door and let Nala off her lead and slowly walked in.
The house was silent. Who was here?
