The winds were singing
And trees were swaying
As your eyes laughed lightly
And lips moved slightly

That day I would remember
Engraved in me forever
That second you fell
I too jumped deep into the well

As the shot rang out
Your voice seemed to shout
But the skies turned gray
And all I could hear was they

The winds are singing
But the trees are no longer swaying
This day I smile for I no long hear
The voice that called me that day
I no longer fear
