I looked into chloe's eyes and whispered one word "Darkoi" and she gasped running for the door.

Chloe pov

"Darkoi" kalli whispered to me. I gasped and ran out of the room, i had to tell my brother. The darkoi pack were one of the most brutal packs around. They were known for their vicious treatment of their women and children. 

I got to his office door and ran in without knocking. Cole and his beta were in the middle of a heated argument when i walked in and both their heads snapped around to see who it was. 

Cole must have seen the pleading look in my eyes since he nodded to mark and mark left the room. I went and stood in front of my brother with my head slightly bowed showing my respect. 

"What is it chloe?" He asked. And let me tell you, he did not sound happy. "Its kalli" At these two words he was infront of me making me take a surprised jump back and making me look into his eyes. "What happened? Has she been hurt?" he demanded. "No....its just she told me not to tell you but, she told me where she came from....or some of it anyway. Cole shes had a hard life" "We all have chloe, gone are the days of peace" he replied running his hand through his hair and leaning against his desk looking back up at me. 

"No... i mean shes had a really hard life" i said stressing the word really. he looked up at me in confusion. "God are you thick or something?! She came from the Darkoi Pack!" "His eyes widened sufficiently at this new information then hardened in anger.

"Get her anything she needs. Im bringing up the attack call mark back in we have alot of planning to do." I nodded and left back to see chloe. When i walked in the door she was sound asleep. I peeked back out and called to my mate. "MARK!" "What he hissed stepping out of the library. "Get your butt moving into the alphas office, he said something about moving up the attack?" "WHAT!? is he crazy?, were nowhere near ready.... god... wait do you know who were attacking?" he asked. "NO, but he seemed distraught at the information that kalli came from the darkoi pack. "oh....well that explains it then" mark said before leaving. "wait! what are you saying mark?"

"Im saying in a few days cole plans to attack the darkoi pack, we had it scheduled for 3 months away since we need to train some of the younger pups but this.....witch has possessed him or something and he's moved it up" "Watch your mouth mark, you may be my mate but i will pick any witch over you any day, remember. Im a witch as well. I may only be half a one but all i have to do is say a few words and your dead. It would be a good idea to remember that next time you say something about my kind." 

With that said, i left into kalli's bedroom to rewrap her bandages.

cole pov

Chloe left my office leaving me to plan for the upcoming attack. It was meant to be in 3 months but i cant help but feel protective of my mate. I want to know everything they did to her so i can kill every last one of those bastards and free the females and children of the pack.

After mark and I had finished some of the preparations i told him to go rest up for training tomorrow. I stayed in the office for another hour or so before going to see kalli. Just thinking of her name makes me smile. 

As i approached her room i could hear voices inside and the door was slightly ajar. I peeked through to see mark...wait mark?!....

He was holding her wrist mid air and was whispering to her. She looked half to tears trying to get her hand out of his grip. I leaned forward the slightest but trying to hear what he was saying however, the floor creaked and he immediately stopped talking. 

He let go of her wrist and stood up straight." it would be wise to remember what i told you" she nodded slightly and tried to push herself further into the pillow.  He turned around and started walking towards the door. I quickly hid around a pillar near the railings or the 2nd floor as he walked past. I walked into kalli's room after he had gone only to find her asleep with tear stains down her cheeks and her bruised wrist being clutched to her chest.

chloe pov

I was staring out the window when the door opened. thinking it was chloe i didnt move....it wasnt chloe. It was that mutt that brought me here. He was glaring at my back making me shiver and quickly hop into the bed.

"I know what you are. what your kind can do. I know youve put my alpha in a trance and i know that one day...soon...you will die by darkoi hand" the last part made me freeze, he noticed and chuckled. "thats right, i know where your from, and i hope they kill you" i went to slap him but he caught my hand in the air.

 "ah ah ah....wouldnt want that now would we. listen here, i want you gone by the end of the week, and i want that trance you have on my alpha gone, you hear me" i had silent tears streaming down my face as he was talking. "were mates" i said... he didnt like that. "No witch will be my alpha...go back to the darkoi pac or i will take you back myself. Im sure theyd pay alot to get you back."

He suddenly stopped talking let go of my hand, and stood up straight. " it would be wise to rememer what i told you" . i nodded slightly and he turned and walked out the door. i slunk back into the pillow and drifted off to sleep after my long day. one thing i was sure of.....i'd be gone by the end of the week whether i wanted to be or not.
