I smiled.
Everest ~"hayy baby, I was actually just going to call you. Did you wanna have dinner tonight to meet the rest of my family bev?"
I knew she was smiling.
Beverly~"Yes baby pick me up at eight. "
I knew she wasn't gonna like this dinner, that's why I have to protect her from the horrible things he was going to say.

I wondered who was the rest of Everest family.

I felt great, but nervous.
As I wondered what his father was like I heard a horn outside. I looked to see Everest.
My mom was talking to him & they we're laughing together. Oh god.
I hurried & kissed my mom goodbye.
I got in the car. It looked like something was bothering Everest, oh I hope it's not my outfit.
Beverly ~" I'm sorry if the outfit is a little to black. "
Everest looked at me.
He held my hand.
Everest ~"Bev, nothings wrong with your outfit...it's just...you'll see. But don't let him intimidate you. "

We arrived at his house.
He held my hand even tighter.
As soon as we entered the house I saw his family sitting at the table their faces lit up with excitement.
Everest & I sat across from the chair that's never been say in.
We sat their & waited but for who?
Someone came out strong buff & tall who looked like Everest. Just different hair color, Everest put his arm around me.
He smiled. And looked directly at me.
He sat in front of me.
Everest~" This is my twin brother...Eric...
Eric~" Nice to meet you bev...I've heard wonderful things about you. " he smiled.
I blushed.
Everest held me closer.
That's when I heard heavy footsteps. Everest groaned.
A man came out with Brown hair and gold rings on his fingers.
He was a little chubby not alot.
He was tall average size for a man in his 40's.
He saw me & sat down gently.
Everest mother kissed him on the cheek. Every one at the table was silent.
Everest held my hand even tighter.
Everest dad ~"Who is she? "
Everest ~"My future wife. Her name is Beverly."
Everest dad~"She goes to your school?"
I nodded.
Everest dad~"So how does it feel to be a black kid at a all whites school? "
Everest jaw clenched. Everybody looked at him then me. I smiled.
Beverly ~"You know they wanted me there. My intelligence was wanted there. "
I continued to eat.
Everest stared at me with amusement.

His father stared at me.

My temperature was rising as I was about to say something. Everest shot right up.
He slammed his hands on the table making Every one jump.
Everest~"I will not allow you to talk to my girlfriend like that, you piece of shit! She is my future wife & if you don't like it...suck a dick & die bitch."
Everest grabbed my hand & we went back to the car.
He drove far away as possible.
I could see a tear drop from his eye.
I gripped his hand.
He pulled over & we sat in silence.
Minutes went by which felt like hours.
Everest started sobbing. I sat in his lap.
It hurt me to see him like that.....that night I saw the true Everest.
