Life in New York. Can't say it was bad. Can't say it was great neither. I sigh as I watch happy lovers walk past me smiling and laughing. What is true love? Something mistaken as lust? Would if-

"oomf." I huffed as I bumped into someone and fell right onto my bum.

"I'm so sorry." says the voice.

I started to get up only to stumble and fall right back were I landed.

I see a hand appear in front of me I take it and it pulls me up without effort. I stand to meet the prettiest green eyes I have ever seen.

" Don't apologize i'm pretty sure that was my fault." I smile and and started to walk up the street of New York my destination a few steps away. I start to push the door to Starbucks open.

"Wait ma'am." I hear from a distance. The guy with bronze hair and green eyes started jogging towards me. I couldn't see his body behind his thick Northface coat.

"You dropped your scarf." He says. Gorgeously grinning while handing me my scarf.

"Oh." I said almost drowning in his green eyes. say thank you. "Thanks." I say holding up my scarf and blushing because of my shameless gawking. We stood there grinning at each other like idiots.

Until he broke the silence. "Let me buy you a coffee." He says while holding the door open.

I shake my head. ''I couldn't-"

"I insists" He says holding the door open wider. I walk in and go to stand in the line. The warmth of the building makes my shivering stop.

"So." He sniffs. "Do you always run into strangers and get free coffee?" he says jokingly.

I roll my eyes."Only on my good days."

I hear him chuckle. I grin a little. His laugh was like a melody that you could listen to all day.

He turns holding his hand out. "Alexander."

I smile and take it shaking it. "Shine."

"Shine." he mumbles again. We let go and walk up to the cash register.

I place my hands on the counter rocking back and fourth on my feet. The lady behind the cash register eyes bulge as she looks at Alexander. "What can I get you today?" she ask mainly to Alexander. He looks at me.

"I'll have a chocolate chip mocha." I say.

"Same." Alexander says. Minutes later we had are coffee and are sitting at a table.

"You know I've never had this one before." He says.

I inhale dramatically and clamp my hand over my mouth. "Well we're changing that today." I say in a playful stern voice.

He just laughs and slowly brings it to his lips. It's like we've known each other for years than minutes.

He takes a sip and starts to cough. I go to pat his back but think twice and don't. didn't want any unwanted tension. He made a disgusted face.

"This is...." He coughs again.

I sit there shocked. "Just tell me if you don't like it." I started to get a little worried. What if he doesn't like me anymore? I bet right now he's gonna get up and never want to see me again. What if-

"Got you." he says suddenly and starts laughing. I just sit there like an idiot in shock.

"What?" I ask stupidly.

"This coffee is actually really good" He says while taking another sip.

"Oh." I say lamely. My phone starts beeping indicating that I have a text. I pull it out and look at the screen.

Shine were are you? -Rose

Shoot!

I start to get up. Alexander gives me a confused look.

"I have to go." I say apologetically."My job. Thanks again. see you later." I say rushing out the door. I hope.
