I finally got to the town square. Its huge, so many people, so many shops. I passed by a street performer, he was shooting fire out of his mouth. I hurried away from where he was getting ready to blow the next flame. I still was on the lookout for the library. Hopefully there was one, I was really looking forward to reading. That's my thing, I read, read and read!

I passed by the shops, one by one, nothing really got my interest. Until I passed this one window.

"Its beautiful." I whispered. Embarrassed by the thought that I just was talking to myself. In the window was a necklace. It looked like sterling silver? I'm not sure what its made of but, it was a single chain necklace, with a moon and a little star attached to the tip of it.

I walked into the shop, I had to find out the price. There was so many diamonds! Quickly, I took off my backpack and grabbed my wallet, to see how much money I had. Dang, twenty, hopefully its under twenty.

"Excuse me miss, how much is the moon necklace in the window?" I questioned to the lady at the front desk. She gave me a scowled look. Her black short hair, and her blood red lipstick made her look like a vampire from one of those cheesy vampire movies.

"Arent you supposed to be at school or something?" she growled

"Its summer." I snapped. Shes so rude. Maybe i'm being rude? Gosh i have no idea, what did i do wrong? I thought to myself.

A green jacket got my attention. Why was he looking over at me? People here are so weird.

"The moon necklace is sixty eight dollars." she exclaimed

Shock fell over me. I'm gonna have to do more chores. The lady walked back to the desk. leaving me staring at the necklace in front of me. The boy in the green jacket was making his way over to me. Now what? People get on my nerves easily.

"I'm Luke, I think you moved into the house next to mine?"

"Oh, yeah I think I've seen you around." I said.

" You seem pretty bummed about the price of that necklace."

"I am" I shook my head and rolled my eyes "Whatever, i'll just save more money."

"Watch and learn." He whispered. He looked around the store to see if anybody was watching.

He snatched the necklace and dug it into his pocket. "What the hell are you doing!" I whispered. "Come on." He whispered, and walked casually out of the store. He smiled at the security guard, pushed open the door and walked out. I followed. "Why did you do that!" I screamed.

"Well you wanted it!" He dug into his pocket and placed the beautiful necklace into the palm of my hand.

"Thank you." I whispered. still shocked about what this guy just did.

"No problem, whats  your name?"

"Autumn."

"Like the season!" he screamed, then  laughed.

"Yeah, the season." I rolled my eyes. every time i tell someone my name they always compare it to the season. Its aggravating.
