Flarero ran upstairs and ducked into a pitch black room. She pressed herself against the pillar next to the door as the guards ran past. She carefully moved around the pillar to look out.

She was going to run out when she felt someone grab her left wrist and covered her mouth. With her other hand, she tried to get the hand off her mouth. She jolted back and forth to break free, when the person who grabbed her shushed softly in her ear.

He turned around and released her in the darkness. She saw the figure peek out the door and turned to her. ''Just stay there and be quiet, I'll handle this.'' he whispered.

She backed up into the black when she bumped something with her back. She clutched it to keep herself up. Her bracelet fell softly to the floor with a small plink. "D*mn.'' she mumbled to herself. She was going to pick it up when she heard guards coming.

The boy heard them to, he poked out of the room. ''Guards! There is a thief in the castle!" he said. Flarero was in shock, he had betrayed her. "We know your Majesty. Have you seen where he's gone?" the guards replied. "Last I saw he was heading outside to the garden.'' he explained. She stifled a sigh of relief. "Right away sir.'' they said as they ran off.

The boy closed the door, creating an even darker room. ''There, said I'd handle it.'' he spoke. "Well, aren't you going to sit?" he asked. "Sit where?" she asked. "On the ground??? Where else?'' he asked.

Flarero felt foolish. She sat down on the cold stone ground. She felt around for her bracelet. Since it was pitch black, she just kept her head and eyes in one spot. "Are you blind?'' he asked. She blinked. "No.... why?" "I thought that all thieves could see in the dark?" he said. "Well, I'm an adopted thief, my eye just adjust to the dark after awhile.'' she said. "Why, can you.'' I've been up here lot, so I'm used to it.'' he replied.

As she felt around she found it. ''Aha!" she said. She slipped it back on. "Why did you do that?" she asked him. "What, lie to the guards? Well, I might as well see what you want before handing you in like I would've.'' he said. She sensed him smirk.

"So, what do you want?" he asked. She sighed. "Water.'' ''Water? Why water?" he asked. "People in my realm, including thieves, don't usually get thirsty. So we're robbing other realms fir water.'' she said.

She heard him get up, and go somewhere else. After a few minuets, he return. He took her hand, and put a canister of cold water in her hand. She smiled, "Thank you." she said as he wrapped her hands around it. "Well it's not like I was going to turn you away thirsty." he said. "Yeah." she said.

She cringed as she heard more guards ran by yelling. "Don't worry," be said standing up. She heard him walk away, and moonlight streamed into the room. "I won't let you get caught." he promised.

She stood up and walked to the window. She saw the guards running to the other end of the castle. She turned to the boy, now in the moonlight, she could see his face. He was rather pale, dark wavy hair, and dark green eyes.

She gave a half smile, "When the guards said 'Majesty' I now take it that they weren't talking to Thor..." she said, starting carefully out the window. "Wait!" he called. She looked up, "What?" "You didn't tell me your name." he said smiling. She smiled back, "I'm Flarero." she said. He cocked his head, "As in, Flarero, the Goddess of animals, shape-shifting, fire, and...and..." "Dancing." she cut in. He nodded. "Well...." she asked. "Well what?" "Aren't you going to tell me your name?'' she asked. He smiled, grin wide, "Loki."

"Loki...?" she repeated to herself. "Well, Loki, Thank you again.'' she said. She gave him a soft kiss on the cheek and started down the ivy that climbed up the wall.

She ran back to where her secret portal was. She waved to Loki, and she swore she saw him smile and wave back as she beamed home.
