Loki was running through the woods again. He had a dagger at his side and his spear at hand. No matter what he did, it wouldn't fire. He could only use it like a normal weapon. He didn't even know what he was running from. He screeched to a halt and a shadowy figure stepped from the icy shadows. ''Who are you? What do you want?" he demanded.

''We just want the girl.'' it growled slowly. ''She contains more power than you could imagine. If you don't give her to us, we'll take it with force.'' he spoke as the figure shot green flames at him from his fist. He dodged before they hit him. He grabbed his spear and lunged at him like it was a sword.

"You leave her out of this!" he yelled. "Really Loki, what's holding you back? Love?" the shadow smirked. Loki lunged at him, spear and sword clashing. ''No! She is my friend, and I will do everything I can to keep her safe!" he said, eyes glittering in promising fury.

The figure backed up and swayed his sword carelessly around. ''What if we did take her?" he challenged. ''Then I'll take her back.'' ''What if you can't get to her?" ''I'll find a way.'' ''What if the doors locked?" ''Then I'll called to her.'' ''She won't hear you.'' the shadow smirked. "She always hears what I say. A lot more then I listen to her, I must admit.'' Loki growled.

Loki swung at the shadow, but it disarmed Loki and forced him against a tree and got in his face. ''Face it Loki, she doesn't love you.'' ''No.'' ''She'll never love you.'' ''No.'' "She'll always see you as you are! A liar. A double-crosser. A murderer. A sly, evil, villain, who will never deserve her love.'' it sneered. Tears that rimmed Loki's eyes and threatened to fall down his frozen cheeks. His eyes narrowed, "No, you're wrong. She cares! She wouldn't have risked her life for mine!"

"That's her plan. To get you to trust her so she can easily turn you into her friends as a prisoner. And you'll be right where you started, at the bottom!" it sneered. "NO!!!"

                                                                                   * * * * *

Loki woke up panting. He rolled over and saw Flare still asleep. He moaned and flopped his head back down on his pillow. He rubbed his head. What, the heck, was that? He stood up and stretched. His dream was to vivid, to real. He glanced over at Flare. But it was right. Does she love me?

                                                                                   * * * * *

Flare moaned and rolled over her eyes fluttered open. She looked to see that her wound was bandaged up. She smiled at Loki's kindness, Would you look at that? He does have a heart somewhere in there.

She stood up, only to sit back down. ''Damn. Stupid leg.'' she grumbled. "Sorry, I forgot about that.'' Loki said walking in. "I only remembered your gash when I took your coat and jacket off.'' he said.

She nodded and chills went down her spine, remembering the rapids and the river. ''I must had hit my head pretty hard. I still have a headache. Loki just stared at her. "Are you ok? You're looking at me like somethings wrong?" she asked. Loki shook his head, ''Nothing.'' he said walking back into the other room.

After putting her leg up and hunting a bit, Flare managed to snag a duck. She got back and roasted it over the fire. She looked around and saw that Loki was also out. She sat on the couch for a minuet. She wrapped her hair up and put it back in a hail ponytail.

She noticed when her hair was up, that she was wearing a gem or rock or something on a thick, black string around her neck. It was rounded like a spiral cylinder, tinted a faint blue. She smiled and guessed that it was from Loki. He's changing, in a good way. Is it because of me?.... she thought to herself.
