Prologue

"Nasaan ka na ba, Chrystalle? Bilisan mo! The boys in this club are just so yummy." Bungad ni Leesh sa cellphone patukoy sa kausap mula sa kabilang linya.

"Five minutes.  Five minutes. Pero makakapasok ba ako diyan, Leesh? I'm 16 you know." Sagot ni Chrystalle.

"God! Chrys! My family owns the place. Bilis! And Chrys?" Bitin ni Leesh upang pasabikin si Chrystalle.

"Yes?"

"Guess who just arrive in the club."

"Who?"

"Your crush. Who happens to be the university heartthrob. The heart breaker."

"Omy! He's there? David is there?" Tili ni Chrystalle.

"The one and the only - David Bryan Xavier."

"Omy! Hang-on! I'm here. I'll end this call. I can see you from where I am."

Chrystalle ended said call and rushed towards her friend's location.

"Halika na! You gotta see him! He's just the hottest!" Bungad ni Leesh kay Chrystalle matapos nilang mag-besong magkaibihan.

"Of course! Will I like someone not likeable? You know me." Mahaderang ngunit pabirong sagot ni Chrystalle.

"Too bad nauna ka sa'king magustuhan siya. Ako ngayon ang dapat mag-give way. But if you won't do it tonight, I'm sorry, Honey, but I'll gladly take over." Malanding bunyag ni Leesh.

"Take over what?" Napakunot-noo si Chrystalle.

Hinarap ni Leesh si Chrystalle. "Here's the catch. You will ask him to dance with you."

"What?! No! You're insane, Leesh!"

"Oh, no, sweetie. You are the one I'd have to call insane if you won't dare to take him now."

"No. Not tonight at least."

"It's now or never, Chrys. He's graduating from college in a week's time. From what I gathered, he's enrolling for law school."

"Still not convinced."

"Duh?! You have almost zero percent chance in seeing him again. Once he get to law school, it will be over - you will be doomed! 'Coz he'll definitely lose his social life."

Napaisip si Chrystalle.

"Stop thinking! You're hot, sexy, beautiful, smart. You wouldn't be crowned Ms. University if I am just putting a stir on your clouded mind!"

Mas lalong napaisip si Chrystalle. She really like David - like a lot. Kahit pa napaka-palikero nito ay wala siyang pakialam. Basta gwapo ito at talaga namang "head-turner".

How'd she know that? Tinuhog lang naman ni David at shi-nota ang isang buong barkada - a group of 12 pretty girls .

"Come on, Chrys! Think about it. Just one dance. One dance with the guy you have been eyeing on since last semester." Pangungulit ni Leesh kay Chrystalle.

"Okay! Fine! It's now or never! After this I may never see you again. So." Bulong ng isip ni Chrystalle.

Chrystalle got one glass of whiskey and then, drank it straight.

Huminga si Chrystalle ng malalim sabay buga ng mabigat ng hininga. And then shouted a mantra.

"Okay. I'm doing this!"

"Alright! That's the spirit." Sabay palakpak ni Leesh.

Inayos ni Chrystalle ang nakalugay niyang mahabang buhok at lumakad patungo sa kinaroroonan ni David.
