Bell's pov

" Doll I need help"

" I got you !"

It has been a while since the accident and I'm trying my best to avoid Alden by helping my family run the cafe. Surprisingly my mom was not angry about the incident and I couldn't help but wonder why.

I served the coffee took orders from people in between. over a while, I've realized that I like helping in the cafe and it doesn't feel like a burden and I earn cash at the end of the day, plus, Chris is there to chat.

Later that day~

"Bell? Are you done?"

" No, dad"

"I need to go meet the people who supply us coffee Beans. Will you guys close the shop tonight?"

" Yea, I can do that, but why do you have to go ?"

" It's about new beans and their cost and all."

" Have you informed mom?"

"Not yet, I'll do that on the way. Thanks for reminding me, sugar! I better call her now or she'd bite my head off, that woman needs to chill."

I chuckled,

" Drive safely! Don't worry about the shop. I can handle it on my own."

Dad patted my head and left.

Soon the rush in the café declined. I grabbed my phone as it was the closing time for the café. I put on my earphones,  being introduced to new thangs by NCT.

Someone poked my back, I jumped and screeched so loud that I could hear my voice over the loudness of my earphones.

I quickly turned around ready to burst open the head of the person poking me.

" Oh my goodness, Chris !! You scared the shit outta me."

My heart beating so fast and the adrenalin... I sat down on the chair next to the counter and took the earphones out.

" I'm sorry but I called you and you gave me no response."

" It's okay, but don't do that again or I'll snap your neck. Anyway, what do you want?" I asked.

" Uhh... I just wanted to tell you that Ezra is coming to pick me. So can you do the closing on your own or should I text him to pick me later? "

"No, it's okay. I can handle it."

"thank you !" I nodded as Chris happily ran back to the staff room.

I continued my work and replayed the song.

Alden's Pov

EZ and I headed to the café to pick Chris and grab a cup of coffee for a game night.

" You know bell might be there."

And I froze

"What? Man for real? Couldn't you tell me earlier, fuck!"

" I was just saying... She's probably left, look at time." I sighed and continued to drive.

There was a small figure standing outside the café. As we got closer the person turned around and smiled at the sight of the car.

" God, he is so fucking precious!!" Ezra groaned

Chris climbed the back seat and hugged Ezra.

" Hey bro, is Bell still working?"

" Yes, and she is all alone."

" What ?! She is working alone here at this hour!" I got out of the car.

" Den, where are you going ?" EZ shouted, I turned around and told him to take Chris home.

I could see a petite girl cleaning the tables inside the café through the large window. A small bell rang as I entered the café but she didn't turn around.

" Excuse me, miss?" No answer.

Okay.

I got closer and tapped her shoulder. She swirled around so fast and begin attacking me " You little piece of shit! I told you not to do that—— oh my god, sir! Oh no! Shit Shit, sir I am extremely sorry. I thought it was my friend. I'm sorry sir." She started to panic and pulled her earphones out.

I laughed, " it's all right, love. Please lock the front door next time you're working alone. I didn't want to scare you but you weren't listening. So I had to do that."

She just stared at the floor, " again, I'm sorry, Alpha. Would you like to drink something?" She asked politely, still embarrassed.

Oh, yea .. coffee,

" Um.. it seems that the shop is closed now."

"Oh no, alpha! I'll serve you anything you want."

Hmmm, anything she says.. can I have you?

" I'll just have a cappuccino, miss."

"Please have a seat, alpha. I'll bring your order soon !"

" Your order alpha, enjoy !"

"Thank you, miss" she bowed respectfully and left me alone.

She went back to work but I could feel her gaze on me once in a while.

" I hope you won't mind if I ask you to sit and accompany me." I looked straight into her eyes waiting for an answer.

She froze and turned her gaze away from me.

" I'm sorry alpha but I can't do that." I smiled

" It's okay, I won't force you. So, tell me why are you working so late and that too alone ?"

" My dad had a meeting and ....we're short of staff at the moment. Christ left early because he had a thing with Ezra but you came as soon as he left so I wasn't alone."

"That's a good thing. Now, I wouldn't want a pretty girl to be left alone at this time." I looked down and took a sip of my coffee.

"Uh. I'll just go back to the kitchen. Call me if you need anything, I'll leave the door open." her cheeks tinted a bit.

" Sure thing." She turned to leave

"Oh, bell! I'm waiting here for you to finish up your work." Her eyebrows furrowed.

"I'll take you home."

" Alpha, it's okay. I'll go by myself, please don't bother."

" Nonsense! Do you think I'll leave you alone here at this time? If anything, I'll help you close the shop so that we can leave together."

She sighed, " it's all right. I'm almost done, enjoy your coffee. I'll give you a call when it's closing time. "
