This winter story is a beautiful one.

That moment when she saw him, those piercing blue eyes that captured her breath instantly, she swore she would never forget that moment.

Snowboarding was her everything at the time. She was turning over and jumping on the huge hills to get a good trick up her sleeve. The wind through her body, cold yet refreshing, was exhilarating and nothing could replace that feeling the moment she stepped on her skis.

The powdery snow was an amazing image to gaze at. It spread as other snowboarder and skiers zipped past her. She didn't go as quickly as them because she wanted to savor the moment and the beautiful sight. The winter trees were dipping onto the ground because of the weight of the snow and the sunlight shining down on everyone was gentle and bright. Today was a beautiful day and she was looking forward to it.

Jamie sighed and looked around her environment with aspiring awe. Snowboarding was more than just a hobby, it was her career, something she wanted to do throughout her entire life. The passion in her surged likes none other, for if she can’t be the best in skiing, she could love it best instead.

Light snow gently landed on her nose and eyelashes. She felt a tingling warm feeling in her heart. She whispered faintly to herself, "This season of white has a spark of fire in it. I can feel it. Something good will happen this winter."

She soared down the hills, encountering all the slopes she can find in order to have fun twisting and turning on her snowboard. The snow was gently pushed behind her as her swift moves touched the ground fluidly.

But she spotted a black figure. As she skidded closer, she took a better look. She squinted her eyes through her ski goggles. It was another snowboarder lying on the white ground, having trouble getting up.

Jamie took a short stop next to the man.

"Do you need help?" She asked, handing him her hand. Her snowboard was perpendicular to the slope to prevent her from travelling downwards without her acknowledgement.

The man nodded his head stiffly as he grabbed her hand. Jamie tugged his body up, who she found out to be inches taller than her.

"Thank you." The man lifted his goggles up to his beanie.

The first thing Jamie saw was his clear piercing eyes. She couldn't get enough of it. It was a beautiful hue of blue and it hypnotized her.

"My name is Aster." He shook her hand and she nodded.

"Jamie," She nodded to his beautiful name, "You looked like you had a bad fall. You want me to go down the trail with you?"

Aster nodded hesitantly, doubting if he should go down with her. Jamie smiled kindly at the response and slowly, she guided him down the difficult trail. Not once did Aster fall again with the supervision of Jamie.

Once the trail finished, Jamie was about part with Aster to her own vacation home. But before she could, someone gripped her wrist, straining her from going.

Swiftly, Jamie turned her head around to see a toothy grin from Aster. She tilted her head and quirked her eyebrow, pondering his need of grabbing her.

"Would you like to have a sip of hot chocolate at my vacation house?" He asked, a crimson color rising on his cheeks.

Jamie let a smile slip on her lips, and nodded with acceptance. She noticed the slight change of the position of Aster's shoulders, which loosened and settled to a normal arm placement.

They carried their snowboards to a small wood house, near the blue square trails. He guided her to his house which looked very cozy.

Once they stepped inside, her eyes flitted around the living room. A small fire simmered and rested on the fireplace. A warm scent flew in the air and when Jamie took a whiff of it, it smelled like all of her favorite things, sweet, golden honey, crisp apple streudels, and jasmine petals.
