I was hoping to get this out before ep 9 released but oh whale

Requested by: nightglow

I stood in the car lot, just as I did with Viktor during the cup of China.

But this time I am alone, and I'm facing everyone at the Rostelecom cup alone.

My hands are shaking as I clutch my phone tightly, feeling as if the blue case may break.

I take a deep breath

Calm down

I can't.

I shakily unlock my phone and the roar above me signals that it's already starting.

My texts pop up immediately from last night from when I texted viktor after he landed.

Viktor: Get some sleep, if you stay up all night you'll be tired tomorrow.

Me: Alright, you'll watch tomorrow right?

Viktor: Of course

Me: Goodnight Viktor

Viktor: don't worry to much, I'll be back soon.

Viktor: Me and Makkachin will see you at the airport after you win gold!

I remember not answering his text, so afraid to tell him that I most likely won't win gold.

I click the phone in the upper right hand corner and my phone redirects me to the calling screen.

The photo of me and Viktor as his contact photo makes my heart twist.

In the photo he has his arms wrapped around my shoulders our cheeks smashes together.

My glasses in his hand and my cheeks bright red from the suprise photo.

We both look happy.

The phone rings three times before I hear the phone pick up.

It was silent for a moment and I refrained from bursting into tears.

I'm pathetic.

"Yuuri?" I hear him ask uncertainly.

"Viktor.." my voice comes out small, almost inaudible.

"What are you doing? Why aren't you with Yakov?" He seems worried "I'm watching right now, it's starting. Where are you?"

His string of questions make my anxiety rise even higher.

"Yakov is with Yuri, I told him I would be okay alone" my voice trembles slightly "I'm in the parking lot right now"

"Are you okay alone?" His tone becomes softer and I feel a twinge in my chest.

The silence stretches out for a moment and my lungs burn from holding in an anxious breath

"No" my answer is short.

My eyes sting as silent tears fall down my cheeks.

one word made the gates holding back my emotions open and I felt defeated.

I hear some rustling on the other end and the sound of a door closing.

"I wish you were here.." my voice cracks quietly.

"Don't cry" he hushes on the other line "you're okay, I'm still watching I'm just in japan"

"But I'm alone" I sniff "I know I insisted you go back to Japan but I need you"
