A week later after the robbery incident, I totally forgot about Jamie. Lies. Lies. Lies.

The thought of never seeing him again doesn't bother me one bit. Lies. Lies. Lies.

Shut up, brain.

At least, there's something to be excited for. First day at a new school. I wondered if London was the same as South Cali. Yes, I did move from California to London. It was all for Tobi's sake. Here that, Tobi? I ditched the sun for you! London was a rainy place...Well, it was raining at that time, like it was the day before. And one day, I was excited about seeing London. Travelling to Europe, specifically Great Britain, was quite a journey desired by my friends back in South Cali. If only they knew.

And so I woke up at seven in the morning, ready for this new school. I didn't even bother remembering the name of the school. Rosebud School? Rosa Parks School? No clue. It would pop back in my mind soon.

They didn't have a school uniform...Well, there was a badge. Pretty annoying since it was one of those tricky badges. Ones with safety pins on the back and a twisty thing to stop the badge from slipping off. What am I saying! All badges are tricky and cruel.

I pulled on low waisted faded blue skinny jeans and buckled on a brown leather belt. Then I buttoned on a white blouse with round black collars and slightly puffy on the arms, tight on the wrist. It was quite a pretty blouse. The annoying thing was the buttons. They took 5 minutes. I slowly slid the badge into the soft silky fabric and struggled with the safety pin. It wasn't so safe. I got stabbed three times.

I glanced down at my waterproof watch that I never took off and cursed out loud. Does time travel so fast? I blame it on the blouse and Doctor Who. I trampled down the stairs still trying to tug my hairbrush out of that ever so annoying knot of hair.

"Ah fuck it" I muttered as I left the hairbrush dangling in my hair and heated some left over pancakes. I poured a glass of juice and quickly gulped it down before retrieving the pancakes. Plate in one hand, I opened the cutlery drawer and took a knife before thrusting out a hip to close the drawer. Breakfast.

Pancakes.

Food.

Mmmmm.

I drove myself to school. I was a lousy driver, accidentally passing the speed limit but I always get away from the police. Lucky ducky me. First day of school and my brother isn't home. Maybe he'll come home tonight was my hope. Who was I kidding? Tobi is hardly ever home. Swinging my bag over my shoulder, I walked to the door of the school, ready for a frantic search for the principal's office. Already, whispers are exchanged about 'the new kid'. What was up with people and whispering. Wouldn't it be more useful if the called me over and interviewed me in person?

"Is she the new girl?"

"Heard she was from America."

Oh really?

"Yeah South California too."

"She has a tan."

No shit, Sherlock.

"I wonder what shampoo she uses?"

Seriously? How's that even interesting?

I keep my head low and ducked through the crowds of exciting students, all wearing different attires to help peopke identify which stereotypical group they belonged to.
