Olivia pov//

"Good morning, Livvy!" my mother exclaimed as she shook me awake. Another school day. Same old same old.
I groaned and asked for five more minutes, hoping to get a little more rest before going through relentless hours of useless work.

Five minutes went by unbelievably quickly and I had to get ready for school. Quickly.
I picked out my outfit and pulled my hair into a messy bun. I carried on with my morning routine, then went downstairs to eat breakfast.

"Hi bup," Grayson said, giving me our signature fist bump.
"Hey bub, how's my favorite brotha?" I say as I laugh and smirk at Ethan, who was shoving his face full of waffles. He looked up at me, smirked, and motioned a sarcastic tear down his face. I laughed at his stupidity. I put my plate in the dishwasher, grabbed Grayson's keys, and tried to walk out of the door. I can't drive, but hey, I could try?
He pulled me back by the back of my shirt and grabbed the keys from my hands.
"Nice try, loser." He said, holding them above his head as I tried to jump and reach his unbelievable height. My attempts were fruitless and I trudged to the back seat of the car. Damn it.

We arrived at school and I made my way to my locker. My backpack was full of books so it wouldn't fit in my locker, forcing me to try and shove it in there. I tried with no avail. I was such a klutz. I sighed and rolled my eyes. Things don't work out in my favor.

Walking to class, I heard a familiar voice call out my name.
"Liv! Hey bitch!" She yelled, catching up to me. It was none other than my best friend, Ava. Ava and I met when we were babies. Our families were friends, and we grew up together. She is a sister figure to me, and I love her to death.
"Hey Av, meet me at the courtyard later. I have to show you something." I say, making our way to our first class.

As we were walking, I wasn't looking and I accidentally bumped into someone.
"I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed, helping him pick up his books. I hadn't noticed who it was until we picked up the same book and our hands touched. I looked up at him and we made eye contact. It was Gavin. The star football player of the freshman class. It felt like everything stopped, and it was just me and him in the room. It was incredible.

We stood up slowly as we finished picking up his stuff. He smiled at me and started to walk away. After a few seconds he turned back and yelled "Thanks, Olivia."

My mouth dropped open as I ran over to Ava.
"He knows my name, he knows my name, he knows my name! I'm freaking out!" I whispered.
"Y'all totally just had a moment." She laughed.

Ahh. High school crushes. Aren't they just great?
