It was about three in the morning when he phone started blowing up.
The last thing she remembered was laying in bed with her head in Sawyer's lap, and they were watching a nature documentary on Netflix. She must have fallen asleep because Sawyer was gone and she was lying in bed with her clothes still on.
The first time her phone vibrated she ignored it. She groaned but didn't move.
The next time it went off she tried to ignore it, but she was already awake.
The third time she sighed and rolled over so that she could grab it, but by that point it was vibrating like she was in some kind of group chat that didn't shut up.
At 2:47 a.m.
The bright light burned her eyes and she flicked the brightness down and put it on silent, and that should have been the end of it. She should have set her phone down and set it to charge but right before she put her phone down she saw the little twitter notification in the corner and she was intrigued.
Suddenly she was staring at her twitter feed which had decided to blow up in the last five minutes, and she had no idea why. She only had fifty followers last time she checked and she hadn't tweeted anything in almost two weeks.
The first tweet she saw was only the beginning of a disturbing trend.
You're irrelevant.
She read.
Stormy isn't even a real name.
In reply to that tweet there was already three responses.
Your parents named you after the weather. cute.
Was the first one, with the eyeroll emoji. She couldn't be bothered to read the other two. Instead she backtracked on the girl's twitter. It was basically a shrine to Raspberry Springs Millennial. Her bio was 'Reid follow me pls' in those annoying symbol letters that you had to copy and paste and her profile picture was a picture of her with the guitar player from the band Declan. Stormy wasn't going to lie. She was a little bit jealous. And the girl was pretty too, not in like an 'I want to date you pretty' because she was way too young for Stormy's taste, but in an 'I'd like to get makeup, and outfit tips from this girl' kind of way.
When she couldn't find what she wanted there she went back to her timeline and read through some of the other people's tweets and backtracked their profiles. Most of which were similar. They were all cute young girls, some of them listed concert dates in their bio's. One, which made stormy laugh, listed all of the times that Reid had retweeted her, and then, as if it were an after thought, crammed into the last part of her bio was the date that Ara had followed her on twitter.Stormy would kill for Ara to follow her, mostly so she could piss off Sawyer.
