Barbara Gordon is in a happy relationship with Richard Grayson. At least...it used to be. Now he's never around, and spending more and more time with Zatanna. Barbara investigates, and what she finds is something she wishes...
{5:00} {Lilac Ice Cream Parlor} Barbara Gordon, also known as Batgirl, was not having the best day. She didn't need to be a detective to figure out she'd been stood up. She sat in the retro ice cream shop, dressed in a lilac off the shoulder top and yellow jeans. She sighed. It had been two hours since Richard Grayson, the great and powerful Nightwing, was supposed to pitch up for their date. The waitress threw her a pitying look. She finally pulled out her phone and called him It rang a couple of times "Oh hey Babs! What's up?" "What's up? Is that all you have to say? We were supposed to meet at the Lilac Ice Cream Parlor at three!" "Oh babe I forgot...I'm sorry. I'm a little busy can I take a rain check?" Furious, Barbara hung up. She set her chin in her hand and ate her ice cream forlornly. {5:30} {The BatCave} Barbara was in the training room, punching a dummy. Her lips were set in an angry line as she mercilessly pummeled the dummy. She was still furious from being stood up. Barbara stopped and wiped her brow, tired from her massacre of the dummies. The door opened "Hello Mistress Barbara." "Hey Alfred." "Is something bothering you Miss?" The elderly butler asked, setting down a snack for her "I have gingerbread cookies, if it should interest you." "No I'm fine." She took a bite of a cookie. "I may be British but I am not ignorant. Does this have something to do with Master Dick?" "No no. Thanks Alfred." "Well, if something is indeed worrying you, do not hesitate to speak to me." Alfred left as quick as he had come. Barbara heard more footsteps, and Dick entered. "Hey baby." His hair was quite messy, which Barbara found odd. She wrote a mental note about it and gave him a death look "Well look who decided to pitch up." "Aw don't be like that!" She crossed her arms "I'll make it up to you!" "You better." He grinned and kissed her cheek. She smiled back. "Meet me at Drake Fine Foods." "That's so fancy though!" "Only the best for you! Plus, I have Bruce's debit card. Wear something as gorgeous as you are." He smiled and left. Barbara picked up her phone and dialed Kara Kent, the famed Supergirl. "Hey, wanna go shopping?"
{The Kent Home} {7:45} "Yay! I'm so excited that we're going on a double date!! You're gonna love Adam! He's so nice!" Kara said as they did each other's makeup Kara had gotten a blue and yellow dress which dusted her knees, and pearls snaked around her neck. Barbara had on a knee length purple dress and a glittering gold necklace Dick had given her.
Adam Foster, Barbara, and Kara sat at the restaurant. Any second now...Barbara thought.
