The holiday has began and plans are being made for me to go and spend it with my grandmother in the water side of delta state which is Sapele. It has always been my wish to visit there but due to my Education and busy schedules at both school and home but now is the right time and opportunity to travel after
Spending a week with my parents.
I woke up very early that morning and went straight to the bathroom. My bathroom is one which I think has more space than it should compared to the others and this has made it the favourite for everyone to use at home.
After taking my bath,I brought out my already ironed clothes and put it on. I love black dresses so that was what I chose to travel with a nude colour sandals. It has always been my custom to look simple and less noticed by people but my personality and body has made it difficult to achieve that. Everywhere I go people come to me like a magnet and then creating good conversations is what I love doing.
The time to was already half past seven and my dad was already waiting for me in our living room. My dad is an accountant that works with a construction company at the capital of Lagos state. He believes so much in Education that he made sure he attained his PhD degree and that makes me so proud of him. Aside been Educated, he also believes in keeping one's dignity and that's why indiscipline is not tolerated in the house. Discipline is something that has been instilled in us right from when we were young. We weren't allowed to collect things from strangers, Made sure we don't walk at night and when we're out we come back before seven. He seemed like the perfect match for my mum though they argue sometimes which is normal for every couple.
He was ready to go already so I had to hurry with the tea. We are been advised that when traveling by road, we should avoid taking heavy food since its a long distance and the driver won't have to stop and wait for you because you might come up with running stomach.
Done with my tea and now ready to leave with my properly packed clothes and shoes in a smaller bag with my toiletries and other things I might need in another bag. I said goodbye to my mum and sister then joined my dad in the car. He uses a Toyota Camry light which I find very fast and reliable unlike some newly produced cars that much money is spent on maintenance.
We finally got to the park at few minutes before 8 which was a reasonable time though. I got the ticket and in less than 10 minutes the bus was ready to move. I said goodbye to my dad and I got to my seat.
Everytime am travelling, the first thing I do is to say a word of prayer for safety and then I observe the people seated around me by analyzing what their profession might be starting from the person seated close to me in my right hand side or the other way round depending on the position am seating.
