When two hearts become one (Steam)

Family Dinner

It was past 7:30 pm and Steffy and Liam haven't arrived, Taylor was wondering what was holding them up. " Hey sweetheart, have Steffy call or text?" She ask Thomas

Thomas: " No mom, I guess they will be here in a while."

Taylor: " Let's hope so, there are hungry people in this house," Taylor joked.

At that same moment Steffy and Liam walk through the door.

Steffy: " Whose hungry?"

Taylor: " We are hungry. What have taken you two so long? I was beginning to think you both wasn't going to come again."

Steffy: " Sorry mom, we got a bit caught up." Steffy turn to Liam and smile who smile and held his head down shyly.

Taylor: " Oh I get it," Taylor smile. " I know you two have a lot of making up to do." Taylor can see the glow on both their faces, she was so happy they get to work things out.

They all walk in to where Thomas, Caroline and Douglas were, Liam and Steffy greeted Caroline, Douglas was stretching out his arms to Steffy. Steffy held out her arms to take him.

Steffy: " Hey sweet boy, you miss auntie because auntie certainly miss you." Douglas smile up at Steffy giving her his baby talk as if he understand what she now said.

Liam look at Steffy with Douglas in her arms and smile. He couldn't help remembering Aspen. He wonder how she would of looked, if she would of have more of his features or more of Steffy's. He didn't mind her looking like her mother, his only problem would of been if Aspen were as stubborn as her mother, then he would of been in serious trouble. He couldn't help the sad smile that appears on his face, their daughter didn't even get the chance to see this world. Another one of the universe way of punishing them for God knows what.

Steffy could see the sadness on Liam's face, he was looking at her but like he was far away in his thoughts. " Liam are you ok? You seem lost?

Liam snapped out of his thoughts. " Yeah am fine, was just thinking about Aspen. Seeing you holding Douglas just brought back up her memory."

Taylor look at the both of them, they still haven't deal with the death of their daughter together. She thinks is something they have to dealt with so they can move past these pains and guilt. She didn't want to spoil the mood so she says, " Am sure my beautiful granddaughter is looking down at you both smiling at all the obstacles you two have overcome and now you are stronger than ever.

Liam smile, Taylor was right, we will never know why our daughter was taken from us even before she have a chance to experience life but he know she's happy where she is. Liam move to Steffy's side take her in his arms and kiss her cheeks. " Am sorry I bring up Aspen tonight, I don't want to ruin dinner for you or your family."

Steffy: " You haven't ruin dinner, am just happy that we can still remember her even though we never get to meet her. She was a part of us Liam, and she always will be." Steffy kiss him on his lips. " Thank you for letting me experience motherhood, and when the time is right we'll start trying for a family." Talking about Aspen make her wish she was here, she misses her everyday.

Liam cup her face in his hands. " Anytime you are ready, you only need to say the word, I love you Steffy more than life itself, and I don't ever want you to doubt how I feel about you." Liam kiss her with more passion this time, he want her to know just how happy she makes him.

For a minute there they forgot where they were, until someone clear their throat.

Thomas: " Well if you two finish romancing each other, we'll like to eat. It seem you both are still on the clouds, after what I suspect with you both showing up late was a well productive evening." Thomas, Taylor and Caroline laugh. He love to see his sister so happy, she deserve it and more.

Steffy: " Oh shut up Thomas." She playfully hit him in his chest.

Taylor: " Ok you guys, if you are finish, dinner is served."

They all gathered around the table. In no time there were joy and laughter, Taylor look at her family and a smile lit up her face. She love to see them like this, this is how it supposed to be, all of them in the same room, getting along with each other, forget about the past and move forward with their lives as a family, looking out for each other, sticking together.
Taylor look at Thomas and Caroline with their son, they look so happy. Her grandson just light up when he's with Thomas, she's so great full for this sweet little boy. He have brought something out of Thomas she never seen before and it was a happy sight to behold. This is the Thomas she know he is, not that one that was chasing women. She kind of blame herself for that, as a kid she was hardly there, some thing or the other always take her away from her family.
She move her gaze to Steffy and Liam, that's when she couldn't help the small chuckle that escaped her lips. They are happy to be here but it seem like they are ready to get back to whatever they were doing. They were so caught up in themselves she want to know if they remember where they were. They were looking at each other without speaking but the look in their eyes, were telling her how much love they have for each other. She so happy that after everything that happen to them, they can still look at each other with all that love. They deserve to be happy this time around, they have fought so hard for each other.
Dinner went on smoothly, they talk and laugh the entire time. Taylor can't remember when last she laugh so much and have so much fun. This was the way she want her family to be, strong and united. She decided in that moment to protect each and everyone of them around the table, she's the head of this family and she will do everything in her power to make sure the are happy. No more will she let anyone walk all over them like before, they are going to do great things in their lives and at Forrester.
She miss Stephanie so much, she have fought so hard for this family but it seem like Eric just don't care about them or the company. He will be hurt when they take over but there is nothing she can do. This is her children and grandchild legacy and she will fought with every bit of strength she have and the power Stephanie have giving to her to protect that.

I want Taylor to be an active role in this story as the family matriarch. I want her to have the strength we know she have, fight for her family and take name. Thanks for reading 😊😘
