Chapter 7 Lovely company

We drove away to Caleb's house which was in the small cutting near the forest. I hope everything will be alright. Guess I m too weird to be liked. Well, let's hope if they don't they don't like me they don't hate me either. Bella was thinking this when she felt Caleb's hand on her lap. She wanted to hold it but didn't.

" Are you worried about how my family would react on seeing you? " Caleb said in a calm voice. " I m damn sure they would all stare at you like all others do and the way I did ." he emphasized on the 'I' and grinned at her.

Bella started to blush," Yeah let's hope for the best." she felt her cheeks warm up.

"You will do good cutie, I m sure " he said . What! Did he just call me cutie. What does that mean? Has he started loving me? Oh ! why didn't he tell me about his feelings? And what about that girl ? Is she Caleb's girlfriend? She was lost in her thoughts when she heard the noise of the horn of Caleb's car.

" Are we there? " Bella asked.

" Yes I saw that you were lost in your thoughts so I honked to wake you up from your dream. Were you daydreaming?? " he giggled.

" N...no. I was just thinking about you and.... "she paused.

"Me and who?" Caleb asked in a serious tone. " Bella tell me what's on your mind? Don't hide anything from me. At least not now. " he sounded worried.

" I was thinking about you and that girl you sat with in the class . Was she your girlfriend?" asked Bella .

"My girlfriend!! R u kidding me? She is just my best friend at college" Bella sighed on listening those words. "you were new so I thought why not leave you alone for sometime. You could have made new friends there. But who knew you would become too close to someone like that Alec ."his face turned red again.

" Why do you hate him so much?" Bella asked in a confused tone.

" I hate him becau...." Somebody knocked on the window. Then they remembered that they reached Caleb's house nearly 15 min ago. Caleb lowered the window . A tall heighted man, with a muscular body stood there with a friendly smile on his face.

" Hey buddy !What's up? Don't you wanna bring your girlfriend in here? " he grinned at Bella.

Bella blushed. " Wh.. What! Sh....she isn't my girlfriend . We are just good friends. "said Caleb . " I brought her here because she hasn't any friends here. I thought maybe she could join our pack. "

" Pack ? " Bella looked confused and tried to pretend that she doesn't know the truth that Caleb was a warewolf . That guy opened the door of his car and pulled Caleb out but it made Caleb suffer from pain. He screamed. How can i forget that I have hurt him today after class ? Oh my goodness ! He was in such terrible pain but he did not made anyone realize it. He was with me throughout the afternoon and I forgot about his wound. I am so dumb. Bella's eyes watered. Caleb wiped her eyes and said, " Don't be sad. It wasn't your fault. I m OK now, see? " he showed a bright smile.

Bella did nothing but hugged him as she never did before and burst into tears. Caleb covered her around his arms.
" I never wanted to hurt you.... How can I hurt you when I L....... " Bella paused.

" You What Bella? " Caleb asked in a cheerful voice. It was as if he wanted to hear something from her mouth. " " " Say it Bella " he said.

Bella was about to say something but Caleb's friend who was observing this yawned. " Do you guys wanna stay here the whole day? Is this car too comfortable? I guess not. If you guys spend another minute in their I will go to sleep for sure. " he yawned again.

"Yeah we should go now. " she said and climbed down the car. "Let's go now Caleb. I m excited to meet your pack. "

Caleb climbed down too. They both followed that guy to a place in the woods that had several houses arranged in a row. It itself looked like a small community. The place was surrounded by woods. The chirping of insects could be heard. The houses looked well built, roofed, all in white and cream, yellow or white. There was a small garage at some distance. Bella gazed at all the things. Then she saw a few people come out of the houses when Caleb's friend called out to them. They all looked friendly and had a smile on their faces.

When they all reached the place where the three of them were staring Caleb said, " welcome my friends. Today I have brought someone special with me. She is new in Forks but the best girl I ever met..." then he noticed how the boys of his pack were staring at Bella like hungry wolves. " .... I must tell you all that she is my classmate. " Bella blushed when he emphasized on the word 'my' . Yes I am yours stupid. Just ask me to come and I am yours. How come you not understand that I have a crush on you? She thought and blushed.

" Yeah he is right. " she said. "Good to know that ,isn't it?" said one of the boys. " Hey I m Seth. I am the hottest and the youngest here. " he winked at her .

" Nice to meet you Seth. " she smiled brightly.

" Now Bella, lemme introduce you to all of them.... He is my best buddy and the alpha too, his name is Sam. He will decide if you can join us or not. " everyone looked at Caleb with angry eyes as if asking him to stop telling me about the pack and alpha thing.

" uuummmhhmmm..... So, who's next? Bella asked.

" She is Sam's mate, Elsa". He pointed to the lady standing on the right. She looked nice and cheerful too. She smiled at Bella and waved a hii at her. Bella returned the hii with a wave.

" They are Josh , Mike and Smith. " said Caleb pointing to the three boys standing in the centre. They looked elder maybe a year or two and they were staring at Bella and if Bella was their prey and they are about to jump on her to hunt her down.

" She is Barbara, Josh's gf and beside Mike is his gf, Sofia. " Both Barbara and Sofia ran and greeted Bella with a hug.

" You are so beautiful! What's the secret behind your beauty? Which shampoo do u use? Whi....." They were stopped by Caleb.

" Cmon Now both of ya. She has come just now at least give her some rest. " both of them went back.

" It was nice meeting you all but right now, I m getting late. So.... I gotta go. I will come back here tomorrow after class with Caleb.

"Bye Bella!! "they said in unison.

Bella seated herself in the car and Caleb gave her a ride back home.

" Ready to go? " Caleb asked.
" Anywhere with you. " said Bella and they drove away to Bella's house. Let's see what happens next..
