Take a trip away from reason

After all 'tis the season

To go out in the cold with arms outstretched

Not scared of your surroundings

Not annoyed by your neighborhood's clownings

A season to give to the people on the other side of the screen you meshed

As if dollar signs were enough

to make up for all the other days

All those things the person on the other sidewalk says

By taking steps across the street from that man in the rough

But carry on with all that cheer

It's one of the only times I get a meal

The only time my problems are real

It's nothing I can't drown in another pint of beer

There was a time where I could see through these red eyes clear

When that dream was not so far away

When I'd go outside with my kids to play

Things that make my hear sear

Call me "Nisan"

My back is what each you takes your seats on

(Nisan, pronounced like nissan, japanese for big brother)
