"-and Optimus had to step in and correct him before they got offended, but in the end, negotiations with the Dinobots were successful." Miko finished as she talked about her day, feet propped up on her Cybertronian mode's digit. "So, what have you two been up to while I've been kicking it here at Cybertron?"
"Pretty good." Jack admitted. "Graduated last week; you got the pictures right?"
"Yup. So glad I don't have to wear a stupid robe and hat during a Cybertronian graduation." Miko grinned. "So what's the next step?"
"Well, Agent Fowler wants me to be a liaison for Cybertronians and humans, but we think you'd be better fit for that job."
"Why can't we just be partners?" She perked up a little. "Yeah! You and me, Jiko, the unstoppable human and Cybertronian team!"
"Jiko?" Jack raised an eyebrow.
"Hey, I had to combine our names somehow. And Mack is just boring." She rolled her eyes and adjusted the camera so Jack could still see her face as she moved to a more comfortable position. "How's the Rafman doing, by the way? Haven't heard from him in a while."
"He and Ratchet are collaborating on something. Reverse holoform technology." Jack smiled. "They're hoping to develop a Cybertronian holoform for us humans, so we can visit you guys, and help with liaison duties."
Miko nodded slowly, then spoke again. "Jack? Do you miss being Cybertronian? Even a little bit?"
The boy paused, thinking his answer over. "As cool as it was, I don't think I would want to go back to that. If I had a choice, I would stay human."
The line went silent, then Miko shrugged. "I guess I kind of like switching back and forth; but at the end of the day, I really like being Cybertronian."
"To each their own I suppose." Jack heard a door close on his side of the line. "Well, mom's home, that means Agent Fowler will be over soon to help me get a head start on liaison licensing. Wish me luck."
"Tell your mom I said hi!" Miko waved. "Bye, Jack. Talk to you later."
"Goodbye Miko." Reluctantly, he closed the connection, closing his laptop. He missed her, but hopefully soon Rafael and Ratchet would be able to create the technology that would allow him to visit longer than if he used only human tech.
But it was something he was going to have to be patient with. Looking back, though, he didn't mind. It was a small price to pay for being human.
