"LOVE STORY"

"How could you say that about Romeo and Juliet!?" Juno yelled, absolutely dumbfounded at the mere idea that the bard's most well-known piece was anything but a tragic love story

"How could you say that about Romeo and Juliet!?" Juno yelled, absolutely dumbfounded at the mere idea that the bard's most well-known piece was anything but a tragic love story.

"Let's get real! Romeo and Juliet are two dumb kids who were hot for each other, so much so that they would disobey their families' wishes to hook up. Not only that, but then they end up killing themselves for each other when they've only known each other for, like, four days!" Ronan argued, making grand gestures with his hands for each point.

Ms. Fall's room was cold, because the school was too cheap to pay for a better heating system. It was the dead of winter, and the frigid air from outside seeped into the building, so Juno was bundled up in her favorite blush-colored sweater and some blue jeans with rips in them. Her feet were always cold, so earlier that day, she'd made sure to put on her thickest gray socks and her warmest boots - the brown ones with faux fur on the insides.

It was about 3:30 on Wednesday afternoon - the time that the Wilmington High Shakespeare Club met every week. Snow fell from the sky and blanketed the ground. The sun peaked through the clouds just enough to cast a few rays of light through the dense layer of dark gray clouds. The sun was already setting - welcome to winter.

"I agree with Juno. They may have killed themselves, but it was for love! I mean, sure, they didn't know each other for long, but that doesn't make their love any less valid," Angie chimed in, walking over to stand next to Juno, whose arms were crossed in annoyance.

"No, I think Ronan's right. I mean, who takes their own life for someone they literally met 4 days beforehand? Romeo and Juliet is more a warning than anything; young love is silly and nothing but lust disguised as love," Emilie explained, moving next to Ronan.

Everyone started to raise their voices in argument, declaring where they stood on the topic with a particular passion that belonged only to nerds in something like freaking Shakespeare Club. Soon enough, the room was drowned out by people yelling, their words bouncing off of the cinderblock walls and creating a void of noise.

"Order, order!" the leader of the club, Winona, yelled, baging her hand against the chalkboard to get everyone's attention. After a brief moment, all eyes were on her, and she smiled in success.

"Alright. Now that you all have shut up, we can think this through logically." She picked up a piece of chalk and wrote two words on the board, then underlined them both. "Alright. So, if you're Team Love, go stand on the left side of the room with Juno. If you're Team Lust, go stand on the right side of the room with Ronan."

More than one person rolled their eyes at the team names, but soon people flooded from the left side of the room to the right and vice versa. A moment later, people had made a statement about their opinions on the story.
