Balthazar's P.o.V.

"Wait, your dating Peter Donaldson?" Paige asked, flabbergasted. "I thought he was dating Jackie, another girl in the play," Paige clarifies.
"No I thought they had a fight and broke up," Chelsea questions.
"What are you guys talking about?" I exclaim.
"Peter had a girlfriend named Jackie-short, black, dark curly hair, your much cuter-and they had such a rocky relationship. I don't actually know if they are dating," Paige explained, while Chelsea braided her short, brown hair.
"Huh, I'll have to ask him," I respond, tentatively.
"Well, we have to go. Chels and I are going to my mom's tonight for dinner, and her beautiful dirty blonde hair won't wash itself," Paige jokes as she brushes herself off, and gets up.
"Okay, give us updates on this Peter situation, we will be waiting for information!" Chelsea chirps happily.
"Of course," I reply, sighing. "We'll have to get together and not talk about my boy problems," I laugh.

A few hours later.....

"Should I text him?" I asked my sister Rosa on facetime. "Would that seem too desperate? Maybe I should wait a few more days, ugh! I hate being single and wanting to date. I'm clearly overthinking this, right?"
"Um, you think?" Rosa exclaims. "You've known this boy for a day. You need to relax and let things just happen."
"You're right. Maybe I should come home for a little bit," I suggest. My family lives in upstate New York, while I live in the city. It's been a while since I've been home, and I need to see my family.
"No, no, no!" Rosa screams into her phone. "That's not what I said! You are saying where you are, and you are going to wait this situation out."
"Fine, lets change the topic," I say quickly, wanting to stop talking about him. "How's Venice?" Rosa decided to travel around Europe after college, and has since been to France, Ireland, Wales, Britain, and even went to New Zealand, though that isn't in Europe.
"Amazing, I have some great stories. I met some great new people, if you know what I mean," she joked as she winked through the phone.
"Rosa, let's go!" A mysterious voice yelled through the phone.
"I have to go, but I'm coming home in a week in a half, so don't worry! I want to meet this Peter though, bye!" She blew a kiss through the phone.
"Bye, see you soon!" I say as I hang up the phone.
Ugh! Boys complicate everything!
I get up and get the note pad with Pedro's number on it.

Hey, it's Balthazar....

Saturday afternoon....

"Hey, what are you doing tonight? Let's go on a date," Jackie, my girlfriend says as we watch tv in my apartment. "I feel like I haven't seen you in forever." She kisses me on the cheek.
"I know, but not tonight. Ben and I are having an ultimate board game championship tonight," I lie to her. I know I shouldn't lie, but I don't feel like having that conversation with her. Meg's words burn in the back of my mind.

I was gallivanting around with some new boy toy every other day. And now look at me; 22 and single.

You should know better....

"Hey!" Jackie yells. "Earth-to-Peter. When do you want to go out? Do you have work tomorrow? If not, after play rehearsal we can go out," she proposed.
"Yea, that's fine," I say absentmindedly.
"Well, if we aren't doing anything tonight, I'm going out with Costa, okay?"
"Okay." I peck her cheek and she leaves.
I should probably tell her soon, I think. But, how?
