Maid to Mate

“She's gone?” Jared asked. I had been staying in this hospital for three days and I'm still getting use to it about me being Jared's mate, my Young Master. Mistress and Master had been treating me well and I couldn't be more happy. Well, it's not like after being a lady myself I'm going to become a bitch, no. But I'm more timid than the other lady since I worked as a maid.

I know you guys were wondering what happened after I licked his fangs. Well, I got tortured by him for hours for licking his fangs. He faked growled at me, saying that I left him hanging, let him excited then he got nothing. Actually, I don't mind doing it in the room. To tell you the truth, I had dreams about us having it and made my day so awkward. But all those dreams made me ready for him.

Now Mistress and Master were in the room discussing about Veronica's disappearance. Jared told me what Master did and after the incident, Veronica disappeared. I was getting better all thanks to the Jackson's family. Jared hasn't leave my side and he lived in the hospital with me. The doctor comfirmed that someone had drugged my food and someone shot me liquids that contained nuts. They wanted to make it like I was dead by eating the wrong food, nuts.

Ms. Rosaline admitted everything. She told them she helped Veronica with the abuse, the drugging and bullying for money. Sometimes I felt bad for her but I can't. She don't deserve it. She had to pay and took the consequence for what she did. Mistress banned her from doing anything and locked her in the cell. I was getting better and I was waiting for the good news to go back home. I'm bored, staying here all day all night.

“Emma, are you listening?” I was snapped out from my thoughts when Mistress asked. I stared at her and blushed a little. She smirked, knowing I'm thinking again. Jared and Master chuckled while shaking their heads. I pouted.

“Ok ok ok.. I'll tell you again. Where ever you go, you'll need Jared or someone you trust beside you. I will assign you a few bodyguard so you'll be safe.” I nodded as she smiled. They left, leaving me and Jared alone. Jared pulled me closer to him as I snuggled into him. We stayed quiet, enjoying the silent. Not an awkward type but comfortable type. I gave in and let the darkness pulled me in the slumber as Jared rubbed his thumb on my shoulder.

“... die!”

“.. she's... be... her!!” Someone whispered yell. I groaned softly and snuggled into my pillow more but something's telling me is wrong. I opened my eyes lazily as I rubbed my eyes with my knuckles. I looked around my room and I stopped dead in their position. My eyes watered as my hand flew to my mouth to stop the sob but they heard. Jared's eyes widen and he pushed her away but I already took off running to the door.

Even though he's a vampire, he used scent to detect me. I ran around the hospital before running out. I was panting but I didn't stop. The scene kept on playing in my head and the tears won't stop falling. Like the sky know how I'm feeling, it started to rain. Raindrops poured down the ground like my tears. I ran into the forest and fell to the ground as I tripped on a log. My knee and palms were scratched but I don't care. I sobbed and pulled my knee closer to my body.

Veronica was all over Jared. Her hands were on Jared's bare chest and she was kissing him. But what made my heart broke was he didn't push her away until I sobbed. I curled under the tree as the rain fell. My scent should be washed away. I rocked myself back and forth, calming myself down but I can't. Jared's face kept on appearing in my mind and all of his actions. He's so sweet and kind to me like he really care but.. he's with Veronica.

Are those sparks a lie too? Jared told me before than vampire and human who's mate could die through rejection. But he didn't reject me.. and I didn't. Or he felt bad about it and refused to reject me so that he won't die? I whimpered and covered my ears as thunder was heard. I needed to stop thinking... Why is all this happening to me? Stop Emma.. STOP! ALL OF IT WAS A LIE!

“Found you.” I heard a familiar voice said before a blood curling scream with fangs piercing through skin sound was heard. Warm liquid glided down my neck and realization hit me.

I was the one who screamed.

I was the victim for her.

For Veronica.

Hey guys! Ooh, Emma's the victim for Veronica! I felt bad... But then, I'm sorry for MIA for so long. Well, I fell sick. D= 

I hate bring sick but I can't help it =(( It's so bad that I woke up in the middle of the night and throw up *Sigh.. However, I'm back now! And I'll be posting a few days later (I guess -u- ) School is coming up next so I will check the time and see when I'm going to update. Until next chapter! =D
