Yellow. That's all I can see. Everyone, everything, it's all yellow.

Motionless bodies. All having one thing in common.
They're all about die.

I bet you're wondering what I'm on about, here; I'll start from the beginning...

School. Sometimes I wonder; will I ever use this in real life? NOPE! Still, I sit here and listen. Well, when I say listen, I mean I just think about getting home, sitting on my bed and eating whatever food I can find while writing my book. I look around at my classmates. Carl, or, as we call him, Freckles, is busy writing down as much information as he can. Allison the 'blonde', is just twirling her perfect silk hair around her finger, while using her computer screen as a mirror to put on lipstick. Gem, the quiet girl, sits there listening to the teacher, watching her every move. Waiting until the bell rings so she can get home. She's always intrigued me. Never uttered a word in school, and from what I know about her - which I must admit is close to nothing - she doesn't hang out with anyone here. Although-

Riiiinngg!

The bell cuts off my thoughts. Everyone races to the door and crams through. I sit there waiting for it to be free so I can leave. I walk over to the opposite wall. 384. My locker number, I shove my books inside and slam the door. "Someone sounds angry" Says a voice behind me.
"I am now" Oh how I hate this school. And the people in it.
"Yeesh, okay" The voice replies.
"Can you not go one day without talking to me?" I snap back.
"Why are you always so mad around me?"
"You know why" I start to walk down the hall towards the exit, but get stopped when a hand grabs my wrist. "Listen, I'm sorry. Hey, you want to come over for dinner on Saturday?"
"Busy."
"Well, your families coming so..." I turn around to face her.
"Listen Georgia. I don't care how nice your trying to be, we will never be friends again. Not like we used to be anyway. What you did to me, it hurt." I look her dead in the eye. Searching for something, anything, but I come up empty handed. There's nothing behind those dark brown eyes. I continue. "And if you think one silly dinner is going to change that, your wrong." I shake my arm out of her grip and continue walking.
Me and Georgia used to be really good friends, like, the best of friends. Georgia was super popular. Then this new girl came to our school and she ditched me. They hurt me, embarrassed me, and made everyone hate me. It made no sense to me. I didn't think I had done anything wrong. So now everyone thinks I'm a coward, which is probably true.
I do have my few friends who stuck by me through it all, though, and are still with me now; Alex Grey, Brittany Matthews and Zoe Morse.
They're kind of the only ones who acknowledge me anymore, and I don't even think Zoe likes me.
Georgia has been trying for ages to be my friend again, call me what you like, but I don't even want to go there.

Picking the remote up off the table I turn the TV on and flop on the couch. Mum walks in and sits beside me.
"How was school?" She asks casually.
"Eh, same as usual, Georgia came up to me again, said you guys were going over there on Saturday for dinner?" I look at her, wearing a peach and yellow apron, her hands occupied by bright red oven mitts.
"Emma.." She starts. Here we go again. "I figured it was time to give that family another shot, they were so nice, and I thought you and Georgia could use some time together, let her explain herself."
"Mum! She knows what she did! And so do I! She doesn't need to explain herself!" I get up from the couch. "I don't want to go, mum, I'm not going, do what you want but I'm not - " She cuts me off, standing up as well.
"Sweetheart. You're coming" I know not to argue any further.
