Lucas says he loves me.
Lucas says he likes my dark side.
Lucas says he'd rather die than live a lifetime without me.
Then let's find out.
It was half past seven, an half hour before dinner. Nothing could go wrong. Mother, Lurch Grandma were cooking. Father was showing Mal Beineke, Lucas' dad, the house. And Uncle Fester and Puglsey were telling Alice Beineke about our family, which could last for hours.
At that time I took Lucas downstairs. What's so specail about downstairs, you might ask. Well, there's this room... I used to call it my favorite room. Just because it's full of torture. Yes, torture. And I was taking my future husband there. I knew how to use everything. There was only one problem. Only Addams' can survive the worst pain. Our bloody wounds would heal ten times faster than other people's tiny scratches. If you notice Lucas isn't in the next chapter, you know what happend. Keep a secret okay?
"Where are you taking me?"
"I'm about to change your life." I simply anwserd.
"Then by all means, lead the way."*
"Are you trying to be romantic?"
"Yes I am."
"Don't try okay. Just don't..."
I tried to not seem nervous when Lucas was around. If he'd notice that i was scared, he would quickly realize that he should be even more scared. Everytime he tried to be brave i ignored it. I've never been scared. So why would i try to act like i was scared? To please him? Never.
I knew what i was about to do. Lucas didn't. I might kill him, i though. Something like that would make me smile. But this time, that thought gave me the goosebumps. No! I wasn't scared! Not yet...
"You're ready?" I asked, about to open the door.
"For what?"
"Doesn't matter." As I walked inside, I didn't feel the same as when i normally walked in. Excitement? Maybe. Fear? I took a deep breath. I felt my hands shaking. Yes. I was scared. I pulled Lucas to an empty wall.
"What do you see?"
"You." He said, not trying to hide a big smile. It was too cute, i couldn't hide a smile either.
"No but what do you really see?"
"A wall."
"Not just a wall."
"How am I supposed to know? You live here."
I slowly reached at a certain spot at the "wall" and pulled away the wooden pieces. Behind the wood, there were shelves. Lots of shelves.
With lots of stuff. Stuff like knifes, swords, burned books, electric gadgets, old maps of the house, lucifers, dolls without any heads, a couple guillotines, ropes, little graves, guns, bullets, even a ninja sword. I took a piece of wood that was still left over and pulled it back in front of me, so it became a little table.
"What is this???" Lucas was totally amazed. Or shocked. Maybe even both.
"Just a secret closet of mine." I simply said. I took a knife and lay it in the middle of the table. Lucas stared at it.
"What are you going to do with that?"
"Well, if it's true what you said, that you'd rather die than live without me, we have to prove it. So what we're gonna do is this: i'm going to torture you."
"WHAT????"
"And to make sure you survive this, you have to pass a test first." I took his arm and rolled his sleeve back up. I took the knife, watching my own reflection being afraid for the first time. I touched the cold metal, a kind of ritual i did before i used one of these.
"Wednesday Friday Addams, i don't know what you're going to do with that but please tell me we'll both be fine!"
"Don't call me by my full name, Lucas Michelle Beineke. And yes, we'll be fine. The only way you can surv- i mean past the test is to gain Addams blood.", i said, sliding the knife over the wooden table, which made soft, creapy sound.
"So you're gonna-"
"Uh huh."
"So i have to-"
"Just be quiet and don't scream." Lucas took a deep breath right before I brought the knife closer to his arm.
Please don't cut wrong, please don't cut wrong! I quickly cut into his arm when i saw him biting on his lower lip, trying to hide the pain he felt.
"My turn.", I said, while i was watching the dark red blood dripping of his arm, straight on the table. I cut my arm on the same place, but now much easier. I was used to this, and able to survive. Once i cut, i noticed my blood was a little darker than Lucas'.
"Quick, give me you arm." I pulled his arm against mine so the two cuts came together.
"Ow! This isn't funny Wednes."
"I know. I'm bloody serious. See, we're blood-bond right now. You got a little Addams in you."
"And you've got a little Beineke blood." Lucas said, clearly not being able to hide his pain.
"I know that. Don't make me remind that." I pulled my arm back and gave him some tissues.
"Here. You'll need these. Make sure our parents don't notice."
"You're really crazy. And that's what i love about you." Once he looked at me, he seemed to already have forgotten the pain.
I kicked, yes kicked, the table back up and took his head with both my hands, staring deep into his eyes.
"I was scared, Lucas. For the very first time in my life i was scared."
I kissed him fiercely before he could anwser.
My hands ran trough his messy brown hair when he pulled me closer, holding my lower back.
