The New Republic (An introdcution)

The Nine

Power corrupts what it touches, and only a saint could overcome it. What will It take for a man to control his greed, his insatiable hunger for power. The possibility is impossible to fathom but it can happen. The Nine—living saints that serve not a god but a man who rules the world. From birth they were marked by the watchers, their destiny written chapter after chapter, they would be the few that overcame the crude nature of mankind—themselves. Leaders, inventors, founders—they were pioneers for the New Republic, the only other humans other than the Emperor to be enlightened by the Watchers. Each one knows of the great burden and their purpose to it, and they are determined to alter the course of humanity's fate. Like the Emperor very little is known about them, other than the Institutes they father and the inventions they have made.

The Nine have completely dispelled of their past human identities; let go of emotions, and now strive to continue the mission and serve the Emperor in the great burden. They are very quiet and do not interact with anyone but the Emperor, and in rare cases send messages to provide guidance for their Institutes when needed. They wear a uniform that covers them head to toe, with a helmet that has their number carved in the middle. Their council exists within the Citadel and are given their own personal body guards known as Inquisitor Guards a sub-group within the Imperial guard.

There was once rumour of a 10th member—the founder of The Nine, the original Alpha. Rumours say she was the only one that knew the Emperor before the New Republic ever came to existence, she was said to have died giving birth to the Emperor's children, and this is the main cause for the Emperor's ruthlessness and hate for the world. However rumours are rumours and the whispers are left to fly in the wind.

The positions are constant and rank is ascending.

The Institutes of the New Republic

Institute of Cybernetics & Robotics (I.C.R).

Produces most New Republic Battle machines. Delves into the nature of Cyber-Human engineering, takes precaution in all projects. Creates life-enhancers.

Institute of Bioscience and Medicine (I.B.M.)

Develops and produces New Republic pharmaceutical drugs. Researches new and dangerous diseases and takes preventive measures against epidemics.

Institute of Human Resources and Logistics (I.H.R.L)

Manages both infrastructure and social resources.

Institute of Environmental Conservation and Improvement (I.E.C.I.)

Ensures the continuous life on Earth for the next generation. Studies efficient ways of balancing wants and needs of people while also keeping the Earth sustainable. Collaborates with other institutes

Institute of Military and Law Enforcement (I.M.L.E.)

Manages all legions of the New Republic. Ensures there are high quality gear in active and stock. Balances garrisons for the most appropriate military presence.

Institute of Education

Handles the future of the New Republic and its next generation. Constantly improving and updating the New Republic curriculum.

Institute of Social, Domestic and Individual Assessment (I.S.D.I.A.)

Handles the affairs of individuals, families and ensures justice is set.

Inter-Institute Collaboration

Department of Neuro-Cybernetics

The collaboration of the I.C.R. I.B.M. and I.M.L.E. helps keep safe-guards in the production of popular technologies such as Life enhancers and Neuron memory storage chips, against potential abusive use.

Department of Advanced Weapons Development

The collaboration between the I.M.L.E. and I.B.M produce the destructive tools that keep the stability of the New Republic in place, along with the continuous advancement in warfare technologies.

Department of Correction and Rehabilitation

The inevitable various issues that arise between Military and Civilian fraternity affairs are handled by the Collaboration of the I.M.L.E. and I.S.D.I.A.. Ensuring that the Military will not hesitate to carry out atrocious acts against Civilians, and keep the strength of loyalty at peak.
