Rain drops trickled down the window the window pane . It was pouring down in buckets. She feared that the city would flood if the rain did not stop soon. The sound of rain cocooning as she got accustomed to it.
It felt as if the sound of the rain had always been there but she was deaf not to hear it before. Now that she had realized it she could not imagine a world without it. She loved the rain. The rain made her melancholy. She had all the right reasons to be so. She was stuck in a hole she could not dig her way out of.
She bunched the blanket near her naked skin. The temperature had dropped quiet a few degrees making her shiver a bit.
A flash of lightning cracked the sky as veins of bright light flashed into the darkness followed by a crack that made her gasp. It can be guessed by now that she was not the biggest fan of thunder. The window panes rattled a bit. This was not good. With a whiplash of lightning she jumped and controlled the shriek of fear that threatened to escape , with great effort . Suddenly she was pulled to a hard chest , a gasp escaped through her lips and she clutched her heart from popping out. She turned to him only to realize that he had nestled his head in the nook of her shoulder. His arm circled her waist and brought her closer, if that was even possible.
"Your knight in shinning armor is not coming tonight to rescue you from my clutches , specially with this ongoing down pour, so just go to sleep", he whispered into her skin.
"Jerk", she could not help but mutter. She felt his lips turn to a smirk as his fingers ran up and down her spine.
She waited until she was sure he was asleep. She was playing with the strands of his hair. She dipped her head and kissed him on the lips ever so slightly.
His lips were soft and melted into hers but this was not the time to indulge.
"I am sorry", she murmured softly before striking him with the other hand that held the knife...
So I hope you like the story that is about to unfold, for now I am going to sketch through the chapters. Hopefully it will come around as I have envisioned it to be. Let me know if you like it or If you would like longer chapters or the length of this chapter are just fine... basically let me know whatever you think about this chapter/ book/story.
