Kidnapped Arc part 1: The Nobility

DING!

The microwave's loud ring then echoed from the kitchen unto the Himeda's living room. Who else was there to hear it, than Konata Himeda himself.

Due to his mom leaving for a 3-day buaineas trip starting from yesterday, Konata was left home alone. Though this didn't bother him for he was rather used to it by now over the times it's happened across the time he's been a shut-in.

Konata walked into the kitchen for a moment to take his hot chocolate from the microwave, the reason was simply to stay awake after lack of sleep.

Or more accurately, no sleep at all.

Even during his time as a shut-in, never has Konata even kept himself awake for a whole night. His latest time he's ever stayed awake was 4 am, and that has frankly just been broken.

There was only one reason: Learning.

Anything he should know and more about Fantasy Earth, he decided to study. Filling his head to the summit with information, leaving out somewhat unimportant details, and even attempting to forget some of his game knowledge.

Konata approached the microwave without taking his eyes off a holo-book containing information about the Nobility. He opened the microwave door and took the rather hot vintage cup by the handle without even looking at it, and even went as far as ignoring the pain from the heat as he sipped from it, as if his senses have been completely nullified.

At this point, you may be wondering what the Nobility is.

The Nobility, simply put, is the high class of society, or the rich as some may say. The name is taken from most fantasy-style stories to co-exist with the "Fantasy" part in "Fantasy Earth".

However, the Nobility is completely composed of the young heirs who have lost the older members in their families in the Incursion. They've inherited their riches, deciding for themselves what to do with them. They would either use it for their own greed, or even donate to charity.

Konata found this topic to be one of the most interesting he's ever read, and has been focusing on it for the past 3 hours.

But a normal human can only last so long.

"Aaaaaagghh..."

Konata dropped on the couch, causing some of the hot chocolate to spill. He closed the holo-book as rubbed his eyes, which had slight eyebags appearing underneath.

"...Need... more... knowledge..." he lazily mutters to himself as he takes another sip, "Fweh! Was this always this hot!?"

Konata placed the cup on the floor as he stuck out his sore tongue. He slowly began to doze off on the couch when suddenly-

"BOO!"

"GYAAAAAH!"

Like a startled cat, he jumped up with his hair on end, tripping over the couch and on to the solid hard floor.

"Ow... ow..."

A head then came into Konata's field of view, and he found himself staring into the emerald green eyes of a blonde Catgirl.

"Hehehe... got you this time, Kona-kyun"

K- You have got to be kidding me..

"N-Nekomi!?"

"The one and only!"

Nekomi grinned wildly as she replied. Konata stood up hastily as he rubbed the back of his sore head.

"How'd you even get in here?

"The passcode to your house is the same as your birthday, nyahaha" she replies mischievously,
