A fleet of paper Aeroplanes

1 1 1

I woke to a quiver of movement above my face as a paper aeroplane made its swift journey through my window, I unfolded the page until it's message was clear " hey, meet me in the cafe at 12, LOVE YOU "
My eyes scanned the letters of the word love As if it couldn't possibly be meant for me, after thinking a while and constantly checking the page to make sure those perfect words were still there, I got up. Once I had showered and dressed more appropriately for the cold
Weather I left my house. The walk to the cafe was full of anticipation, excitement was buzzing in my heart. The lust to look into
His blue eyes was overwhelming, I felt I couldn't stand to be away from him any longer.
My scarf battered in the wind like a bird in a cyclone and my hair beat around my face like tiny lace whips. I arrived at the cafe and rushed to get inside away from the cold, there he was.
Sitting so that he couldn't see me as I walked In the door, sitting so I could not yet see his eyes of which I loved so much. I sat opposite him and as he lifted his head his eyes came into view. They glowed in the warm lights of the cafe, they seemed to reflect every emotion he'd faced. I felt the longer I stared the further I fell into his ocean like eyes, the further into his emotions I could delve.
" hi, I see you got my perfectly crafted aeroplane," he said tilting his head to the side
" yeah it was hard to miss,"
" oh good I was worried you wouldn't find it,"
Worried? About me? It couldn't be possible that someone were to care enough about me to worry.
" I had a really good time last night," I said with a smile
His eyes seemed to light up with my words
" me too," his smile was enough to incapacitate me.
Once again we lost ourselves to time and we stayed there for hours just loosing ourselves in each others stories.

The next morning I awoke to a whole fleet of tiny paper aeroplanes sailing into my window, I ran to look outside and even from here I could see everything I loved about him as he launched more aeroplanes from a small basket of them. I looked at my floor that was scattered in aeroplanes as i heard him laugh from outside.
" cheesy isn't it?" He called up to my window
" yeah, but I love it,"
He didn't respond but he walked to my door and came inside, my heart racing as he began his ascent up my stairs.
