Alex Hem always hated James Smith, but never knew why: she hated his personality, she hated his raven colored hair, she hated his icy blue eyes, she hated his toned body and most of all she hated his rich family. Alex was disgusted by James, something about him made her feel off, as if he wasn't human.
The main thing that bothered her about James was that any chance he got, any girl he met, James would flirt to his hearts content, in a more simple way: James would flirt to anything of the female gender, even if it was a mouse. The thought of James Smith made Alex's blood boil and leaves her fuming.
Alex brushed her red curly locks of hair out of her ocean blue eyes, letting out a sigh she thought to herself:
'This is going to be a long day, and for goodness sake it is only the second week back at school!'

It was in the middle of fifth period that made Alex lose grip on her patience, which for her this was an achievement,
'I have never made it longer then before today...'
Of course it was because of 'hormonal James', he was running his mouth again and the saddest thing about it was that Miss Clarke, their math teacher, was completely oblivious about the fact that James' flirting is just to get extra points, they were cheesy remarks to be honest :
"Miss Clarke you look absolutely ravishing today!" "Miss Clarke I adore your beauty!" And so on. Today was the day when he made a fatal mistake, he called her an 'idiotic pig' for not answering a question right; it wasn't her fault, Alex always hated math. There was nothing wrong with math, Alex could never get the answers right and it bothered her.
"Excuse me?" Alex's voice was hoarse but still a whisper.
"You heard me, you foul insect!" James shouted for all the room to hear. Alex rose to her feet letting the chair groan as it slid across the floor, her face looking only at the ground masking her eyes with a dark shadow. Meanwhile James picked at his fingernails as if they were more important. Neither of them had moved, someone's cough had broken the thin wall of silence that covered one side of peace and the other raging war.
"Pathetic waste of oxygen you are." before James could speak another word Alex was already standing in front of him, gripping his tie so they could be face to face. James was twenty centimeters taller then her, not that made a difference she still could beat him to a pulp if she had to.
"Pathetic waste of paper your birth certificate was." Today was not a good day. She packed up her things while the class were still gaping at them and left to the library for sanctuary and peace, but not without a 'humph' from 'the hormonal flirt'.

Sanctuary. That is what the library is to Alex. A quiet sanctuary, just for her. Sitting on a broken oak chair at the back of the room, behind the maze of shelves, reading. No one but her and the librarian were in the library; as she flipped the pages of her book, her gaze shifted to the room around her. Old and dusty, books filled the room; every book she put her eyes upon was covered in layers of old memories. I loud 'boom' thundered into her ears making the hairs on her arms stand, a chaos of petrified screams erupted from the front of the library.
Alex shot to her feet, the echoes of footsteps coming towards her, pain spread through her body, paralyzing Alex as a scream ripped from her throat. Tears of fear and pain blurred her vision, a man's figure stalked towards her, once it reached Alex it wiped her tears so she could see clearly.
"So that's what you think of me, a pathetic waste of oxygen" James whispered into her ear. He brushed her hair out of her face, the pain spread faster then light, another scream tearing her throat apart.
"Shhh~~ There is no need to be so loud, this is a library after all!" A smirk placed itself upon his face. Alex wanted to scratch at his face; she wanted to rip at his perfect features. Nothing. None of her muscles were working. Something was wrong something was off-
"I can see the confusion in your pretty little face, such a shame, I had hope for you."
Him rose from his crouch and looked down at her as if she was a little ant waiting to be stepped on.
"I am done with you and your petty remarks, I'll show you a world of true fear. I'll show you my domain" his finger tips sparked with gold flames.
