Summary: In their 6th year of school, it's now the end of the Season; as keeping with a Wizard Tradition, 'The Captain's Bet Dinner', Quidditch Captains Draco Malfoy & Harry Potter are about to take a short trek that will take them on a long journey, as a bet goes wrong, when hearts become the collateral, and lives, the folly of the Fates.
After bungling best friends Ron and Blaise with misguided 'pure intentions' stick their noses where they do not belong, the result becomes a Domino Effect, as others past & present, especially Draco and Harry, are suddenly caught up in the fall.

Stanley felt he had an insider's view point of the whole situation between Harry and the Prince of Slytherin, because as he's told a surprised Harry, also since second year, Draco Malfoy had taken to sitting under the SAME tree, talking out-loud about all things, 'ESPECIALLY,' 'ALL' things, 'Harry Bloody Potter.'
Harry had felt a bit possessive of the Squid by this point, and had made the mistake of telling him so.
Demanding to know WHY Stan had spoken with Malfoy like he'd done for years with him, Stanley had primly informed him,
"to get over it," and himself.
For, He now had, "not one but three precious lives depending on him, as well as the whole damn Wizarding world, himself included!"
He then went on to tell the blustering Gryfindor, that he'd even heard Voldemort himself comment on his, "love of seafood," and about how 'squid' "was a delicacy."
Harry had felt the Creature's fear slide sickly down his own spine, and his heart went out to the great slimy beast.
Stanley then shared something with the dark haired boy, something no one knew, not even that nosy old fool Dumbledore, as he went on to explain,
