~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The carriage jolted to a stop waking everyone except Marco and Ymir.
I found myself laying on Marco's chest.
His shallow breathing put my mind at ease.
"Hey Annie, why don't you come snuggle with me?" Reiner asked.
"Because you are a disgusting pervert." I said quietly trying not to wake Marco.
"Ouch, whatever I still have Bertolt." He said throwing a arm over Bertolt's shoulder.
"Reiner I-I didn't know you felt that way."
Bertolt said turning red.
"Uck, all this lovey dovey shit is going to make me sick." Yimr said starting to get up.
"W-what'd I miss." Marco said yawning.
He slowly got up and sat against the wall.
I was still snuggled under his arm listening to his heartbeat.
Thump thump thump.
I had calmed down but, being so close to him made me nervous.
Like he would disappear and I would be back home.
Marco hadn't noticed me till I moved slightly closer.
He became stiff but, then relaxed.
His heartbeat had picked up from before he noticed me.
Thumpthumpthump.
"Yo, earth to Annie... hello?" Reiner said snapping his fingers in my face.
"S-sorry, what?" I said confused.
"You were spacing out, and freckles here looked worried." Ymir said.
"Sorry I'm still tired I guess." I replied starting to sit up.
"So where do you think we're headed?" Reiner asked quietly.
"My father did say something about scientific technology." I answered fully sitting.
"Oh Gods, a-are we going to die?" Marco asked putting his right hand over his face.
Everyone looked at each other pondering their true reason for being there and how long they have to live.
BANG
The carriage door swung open before anyone could move away the man grabbed me by the hair.
"I Told You God Dammed Brats To Shut Up. " He yelled throwing me to the ground.
The others watched through the barred window in horror.
The man kicked me repeatedly.
All I could do was cough after the multiple blows to the chest.
Pain and then darkness.
