Gena
M: "I love you Genavese Reyes."
I stayed silent for a few moments. Just staring at her. Does she mean that? Did she just say it because her father and uncle said something? Oh god... Now she looks scared.
I felt Jess kick me under the table making me shoot a glare at her. I grabbed Mia's hand and stood up.
"Please excuse us." I pulled Mia outside onto the deck. She snatched her hand away and crossed her arms over her chest.
M: "Talk." She practically growled at me.
"Please listen baby. Don't get mad at me, okay?"
M: "I can't promise that."
I let out a heavy sigh before fidgeting with my fingers. A second later I felt a sharp slap on my hand. She hates when I fidget and get nervous.
"Okay... Just a few days ago I said I loved you, and you said you weren't ready. You can see why I'm wondering why you'd say it now. Is it because of your father?"
M: "What?! No! I don't just say I love you to please other people. I said I loved you, because I fucking love you." I tried reaching for her hand and she backed up. "I've never said that to someone. I mean, obviously I've said 'I love you' but I've never said it to someone I'm in love with. I love you, Gena, but I feel really foolish right now for saying it in front of 5 other people."
"Please don't feel like that. I love you, Mia. I've already told you how in love I am with you. I just would hate for you to have said that because you felt pressured." I stepped closer to her. She backed up again, so I backed her up against the railing. Trapping her in front of me. I leaned in and softly kissed her jawline, down to her neck. I moved to my lips next to her ear and began to whisper. "I'm sorry, baby. I love you." I moved my lips to her cheek, pecking it softly then kissing the corner of her mouth.
She finally looked directly into my eyes, her hands moving softly to the side of my neck, bringing me in for a kiss. Before we could fully get into the kiss I felt her hands move up to my hair, grabbing my hair in between her fingers and roughly pulling my face away and my head back. I feel her soft lips on my neck, kissing lightly before I feel her teeth sink in, making me gasp.
M: "Don't ever embarrass me again."
"I won't. I promise." I said just above a whisper. She let my hair go and brought our lips back together. I let her stay in full control of the kiss, her hands roaming my body. "Say it again." I kept the same soft tone in my voice against her lips.
M: "I love you, Gena." I smiled, pecking her lips.
"I *kiss* love *kiss* you." I felt a smile on her lips before she sucked my bottom lip into her mouth, making me moan. "Okay, stop. I'm getting horny and we still have to go finish dinner with everyone." She laughed and nodded her head, pecking my lips once more.
She laced our fingers together while she led us back into the restaurant.
"Todo bien?" Mia's father asked as we returned to the table. Both of us nodded our heads.
M: "Todo es perfecto." I looked over at her and smiled again.
Uncle Raul
To see Mia so happy truly is a wonderful sight to see. She's always told me and her father she would never settle down or get married. I knew that was a crock of shit.
