Chapter 2

Jennie's POV

I woke up late, staring the ceiling above. It's Sunday today, bukas pa yung pasok ko. I still can't believe that I'm here again, ilang taon na ba? 3 years? Time flies so fast. Namiss ko na sila Rose and Ethan, they still don't know that I'm here. Tomorrow nalang, para suprise. Gagala muna ako sa mall ngayon, para sa requirements ko sa school.

"I can do it" I said while smiling, clenching my fist. I stood up and pumunta sa bathroom para maligo. I wore my white highwaist shorts, gray shirt na may print na 'kbye' and sandals. Lumabas ako sa kwarto ko papuntang kitchen, nakita ko ang butler namin na si Butler Luke. I smiled to him, he's cooking something delicious.

"Good morning, my lady" he said while putting some food in the table, I sat in the chair in the middle.

"Morning" I said, starting to eat my food. I ate fast because I'm hungry. Nagpaalam na ako kay Butler Luke, at nagpasalamat. I started my car, tapos byumahe papuntang mall. It's not that far kaya madali lang ako nakarating, pumunta ako sa National Bookstore and buying some things that I needed. Habang naglakad ako, I bumped into someone, matutumba sana ako pero thankfuly mabilis yung reflexes ko kay napahawak ako sa shelf katabi ko and sadly, nalaglag lahat yung mga gamit ko.

"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention" sabi ko habang pinupulot yung mga gamit ko.

"Stupid! Bulag ka ba?!" he said while clenching his jaw, hindi ko siya pinansin. I said sorry already. Pinagpatuloy ko lang yung ginawa ko, may narining akong footsteps, running to our direction.

"Kuya! Nakita ko na, tara magbayad na tayo!" sabi ng isang batang babae, his sister maybe. nag'kuya' eh. The girl looked at me, confused. Tumayo nako tas pinagpag yung shorts ko, I looked at them with a poker face.

"Hoy slave! Ano naman ba ang ginawa mo?!" sabi nya ng pasigaw, nainis na yung lalaking nagbunggo ko kanina, I cringed sa sigaw nya, this kid is quite annoying. Slave? Baby sitter ata sguro to'. Biglang nagsalita yung kuya-slash-babysitter nya.

"Pwede ba?! Tumahimik ka?! Tara na nga!" sabi nya ng pagalit din, nasa dugo ata nila na laging sumisigaw. I smirked, I was about to walk away but naunahan nya ako, binangga na naman nya ako but this time, sinasadya nya talaga. I'm starting to get annoyed, what the heck is his problem?!

"Jerk" I said while collecting my things again. Narinig kong tumigil sya sa paglalakad at hinarap ako, habang ako pinupulot parin yung mga gamit ko. May nasira na notebook, oh well, palitan ko na lang mamaya.

"What the hell did you just say?!" sabi nya, tumayo ako. Hinarap ko sya, poker face parin yung mukha ko, nakita kong nakapa-facepalm nalang yung sister nya.

"Oh, I think you're the one who's deaf between us mister" I said to him with a blank-iest face i could ever muster, nakita kung namumula yung mukha nya, oops. His temper is too short.

"Walangh--" sigaw nya pero I cut him off.

"Sorry to interrupt your nagging but I have to go, Mister Brother-of-hers-or-slash-a-slave" I said, a smirk plastered on my face and walked away. I heard him cursed, he was about to chase me but her sister called him. Pumunta ako sa counter para magbayad, lumabas na ako dun' baka maabutan pa ako yung lalaking yun. Mainit pa naman yung ulo nya. Pumunta ako sa isang cafe, Cafe Talk. It's nice kasi tahimik, magandang tambayan. Doon muna ako pampalipas ng oras, I don't want to go home yet, wala akong magawa sa bahay.

"Good afternoon Maam!" sabi ng waitress dun, I smiled at her, looking for a comfy place my nakita ako sa dulo na nasa taas, may isang table dun' sakto lang magkakasya ang isang tao. 'Nice', pumwesto na ako dun tas nag-order. Binuksan ko yung book na binili ko, I was about to read it when I heard something sa baba.

"I'm sorry, but you're too good for me Yugyeom" sabi ng isang babae, what is this? typical break-up line yun ah.

"Listen, Lisa. It doesn't matter if I'm too good for you, or you're too bad for me, All I want is you, I love you. Can you freaking understand that?!" sabi ng isang lalaki, named Yugyeom. He's too cheesy, and why am I listening to this?

"No, you don't understand! As much as I want to be with you, I can't. It's confusing, everything is! I'm sorry, I have to go" she said while walking away, I frowned. I remembered something which I shouldn't, the boy stood up, tumingin ako sa kanya pero may nakita akong hindi ko akala mangyari, a tear dropped in his eyes pero pinahid nya kaagad looking around if someone saw him or them and then, he saw me. He stared at me while clenching his jaw, my face is calm as always.

"Well that was some scene" I muttered while openning my book, I was about to read the first line but a figure is infront of me, he gripped my shoulders tightly.

"Listen, you saw nothing and heard nothing! Okay?! Shut your goddamn mouth lady before I'll be the one who'll do it for you!" he said while clenching his jaw, but I remained calm. I know how to control my emotions, I removed his hands to my shoulders, gripping to it tightly.

"Listen too, whoever the hell you are, you don't need to tell me because I never really fcking care and don't touch me" I said staring back into his eyes deeply, he hissed letting go of me.

"And the way you approached me is too rude, is that the way asking someone that they should shut up about what they saw? About something that a girl dumped you and you cried? You should just atleast say 'please', you rude ass jerk" I said while clenching my teeth, I'm easy to talk to and yes, I know how to shut my mouth about something that is meant to be a secret but what he did was too sht! Nakita ko siyang lumayo sakin, and tumayo ng umayos. I sat properly not minding him and was about to read the first line, again. but again, nagsalita sya.

"I'm sorry" he said while looking away, his hands on his pockets. Marunong pala to mag-sorry, or he just gave up his pride just to keep his secret? Well whatever, nor that I care.

"Whatever, I'll keep it a secret. It's not like we're gonna see each other again" sabi ko, and I saw him staring at me. He was about to say something but his phone rang, so sinagot nya tapos umalis. Good thing he left. I sighed.

"Miss? Here's your order" sabi ng waitress, tapos inilapag nya yung pagkain sa lamesa. I said thank you to her then she left, I was about to read the book again pero hindi maalis sa isip ko sa mga nangyari.

'What's with me meeting troubles with guys today?' andaming nangyari ngayong araw, I should be careful from now on, I kept talking lately, sa strangers pa. I sighed, reading the first line of the book finally, but it made me stop for a while.

'Will you fight for everything for the person you love? Even though no matter how much you tried, both of you can't be together?'

Tiningnan ko lang yung text sa book, I was lost for a minute. Nagflashback yung scene nila kanina and yung scene na, na dapat ko ng makalimutan. I closed the book, putting it aside, at ininom yung coffee na inorder ko.

"I should'nt have bought it"
