Chapter one:
"How long has it been now?!?", you asked as Hayley glanced at her phone.
"Two minutes later than the last time you asked!"
"So iiiiits's...."
"Exactly half-past eleven!"
"You know I really do love you for doing this for me."
"I know you do Alex but you owe me after this!"
Hayley had been your best friend since... well you weren't really sure, but it was a long time. You were literally chalk and cheese, in fact when you first met you bonded over an argument about whether cucumbers had a taste or not. Hayley liked fictional characters, in tv shows, movies and books, no real person could ever live up to these perfect characters for Hayley. You, on the other hand tended to fall in love with real people. Not people you knew in real life, but band members. Band members were everything to you, they were the perfect humans, they were always there for you and never let you down. No one could ever live up to them. Hayley argued that band members basically were fictional characters as you didn't know them personally, you argued that since you knew everything about them you basically did know them, she couoldn't argue with you on that one.
"What time is it now?!? It must have been at least ten minutes since I last asked!"
Hayley sighed and pulled out her phone again, "It's been three minutes this time, its thirty seven past eleven."
"Oh my God I'm so excited! What time do you think they're coming out?!? It must be close now! Have you got my sharpie?!? Have you got your camera ready?!?"
"Wooooah slow down! Don't worry I've got everything ready, remind me again why you can't hold the stuff?"
"Because I'm too excited! I'll lose it! Or break it! Oh. My. God. They're coming soon! I can feel it!"
"Calm down Alex, you're mad!" Hayley said, wrapping you in a bear hug.
"Show me the tweet again!"
Hayley looked through her phone for a second, found the tweet and gave you the phone so you could read it. It read " @Alex_Hemmings see you there! (nice name by the way) ;) x"
You'd just been to see your favourite band, 5SOS, for the first time and were waiting outside to hopefully meet them after the show. Luke was your favourite. You'd tweeted all the boys before the show saying you were on your way to see them and Luke replied. You'd fallen in love with 5SOS the second you first heard "Heartbreak Girl". Ironically Hayley was the one who had heard the song and played it to you knowing that you would love it. Hayley wasn't really a fan but she came along to every concert, signing and meet-up with you as long as you went to all hers. You did have other friends who were fans of 5SOS, but as soon as you got the tickets you knew you had to take your best friend with you.
You heard a sqeal, "HI LUKE!!!!"
"OH MY GOD THEY'RE HERE!"
"Calm down Al, you don't want to seem desperate!"
"Good point. Look, they're over there! Speed walk with me!"
You sped over to the one of the four crowds you could see surrounding the band. As soon as you reached it you went up on your tip toes and saw Luke standing in the middle taking pictures and signing autographs!
"Hayley! It's Luke!"
"Yaaay." Hayley replied sarcastically.
"At least pretend to be excited!"
"I'm happy for you. But I'm not gonna pretend I'm excited."
You stood in the crowd surrounding Luke for what felt like hours, slowly getting closer to him. You watched as people met him, he was so nice to everyone just as you imagined he would be, he took time to meet every fan and had short conversations with them all, rather than rushing so he could leave. You smiled at the fans that had just met him as they left, some with giant smiles on their faces, some shaking, some crying. You couldn't wait until you were one of them! Eventually you got right up next to him, as he was talking to another fan you reached out your hand and gently touched him on the arm. You couldn't believe you'd just touched your hero! He was so perfect up close, you could see every little wrinkle, every blemish, every hair, it was amazing. There were only about ten people left in Luke's little crowd now, and you and Hayley were two of them! Luke started to turn towards you, finally he was going to speak to you! You quickly made sure your hair was in place, checked Hayley was still next to you and concentrated on making sure that you would have a normal conversation with him and not just scream at him or cry. You were ready. You were finallygoing to tell your idol, in person, how much he meant to you. He looked at you. Suddenly Calum appeared behind him, and everything happened in a blur.
